Eric Forrester demands Ann Douglas & Pamela to stay in L.A

- Eric places Stephanie in a position of no control at all. He wants Pamela and Ann to stay in Los Angeles for good. But isn't that a trick to get close to Stephanie's younger sister ?
I always felt like Eric never understood any of Stephanie's feelings - about any situation!
The Golden Girls reference was amazing...good writing.
I will say this, Eric has his faults (serial cheater, horrible husband, bad father, etc.) and I call him out on it regularly, but I also got to give credit where it's due. Eric is very very generous. He graciously welcomes anyone and everyone into his family and will take care of them. He took in Ann and Pam and gave Ann a job a FC. I remember him even adopting Donna's grown son and giving him his last name. That's one of Eric's best traits that I can appreciate.
Betty White was so great in this role. To see her acting skills as a cynical, manipulative, lady even with a touch of evil was brilliant. Such a departure from comedy and she nailed it. Her and Susan Flannery just elevated this show while Betty was a part of it.
"At one of those GOLDEN years places. Oh, I can't abide old ladies..." Hah! Classic.
Betty White is the best! She did a wonderful job in this role!

golden years is not a spinoff of the golden girls the golden girls had a spinoff called empty nest , then empty nest spinned off nurses .
marc holmes And NCIS is a spinoff of JAG and NCIS: LA, etc. is a spinoff of NCIS.

The Golden Girls had a second spinoff besides Empty Nest: The Golden Palace. Blanche sold her house and she, Rose, and Sophia bought a hotel after Dorothy got married and moved away. It only lasted a season.
I don’t blame Eric. That short-haired cow isn’t worth his trouble.
