@@jenniferli7295 Agreed! And Urazova is the only person who makes wolf turns look graceful. There are a few others that are acceptable, but only Urazova's is *pretty*
Gorgeous beam! 🤩 Exquisite! I especially love the fact that she actually does a TRUE front handspring with flight, into a front somi combo! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 Some gymnasts do something that they call a front handspring when it's actually just a fast front walkover!
@@aliciamcdonald7105yeah the main thing is her side somi+tuck jump full combo. She usually adds a stretch jump full but left it out this time and the judges are so strict on timing they probably don't credit it. It's a shame since it's such a difficult and unique combo
There are several pauses that break the rhythm of the routine. She's also quite flat-footed. She really should get up on her toes more often. The Chinese used to be excellent at that, but they seem to have forgotten how to do it in recent years...
@@findingthatperfectspot4692 it’s actually not a deduction to not be on relevé in this code. However if you do stay on relevé, it has to be good, otherwise there is a deduction for poor relevé work
@@ojk46 I just checked the 2022-2024 Code, and it says there is a 0.1 deduction for a lack of work in relevé. It's not much of a deduction, but it's there, and Zhou absolutely deserves it.
@@findingthatperfectspot4692 the deduction is for “poor work in releve”. It doesn’t demand work in releve. If you don’t do it, you don’t get a deduction, but if you do and it’s not good, you do. This is a common misconception about the code. I believe Donatella also explained it in of her seminars.
The formmmmmmm!! (besides the split leap) Also, the judges need to stop docking points for rhythm unless the gymnasts are going over the time limit… bc no one cares about beam choreo
It's fine if they do a little arm waving or other small movements that are intentional and could be somewhat unique to add some artistic expression but forcing the gymnast to constantly "dance" in between performing skills is ridiculous and very unnecessary. It's beam not floor.
Now that’s just not fair haha. It would be truly perfect if the routine had a bit more interesting choreography but that’s something I think about most of the Chinese beam routines

What a triple twist! High and clean
Made it look like a double!
Gorgeous!
That triple may be one of the best off beam ever. She’s AMAZING
There aren't many gymnasts who can make a side somi look beautiful, but Zhou's is almost pretty...
It's so light!
Side somi and wolf turns are the ugliest moves on beam. Zhou manages to make the side somi look tolerable, graceful even.

14.9 is insane! She deserves it tho, it’s so clean and I love the Front combo, like Skye Blakely’s,
Wow, incredible routine, and love that apple green leo!
The queen❤
Deserved to break 15 if we're being honest
I think she would have gone over 15.00 if not for the balance check and slight break of rhythm at the start after she mounted.

@@askan300 Of course i wont thats why i want ZYQ to win not a beam routine with ugly wolf turn

Unbelievable accuracy and control. ❤
I thought they were deducting for every unchoreographed step in this Code. If so she could score even higher with minimal effort and changes.
They are. That’s why she has an 8.2e despite being very clean
This routine is so difficult that she’s probably having an out of body experience to do this and not fall and those steps are baked in the routine now
@@mrparts The Chinese beam coaches need to stop baking them in to so many routines.

Exquisite skills, and combinations to die for. But her pacing is too sporadic. Beautiful though.
EXACTLY! I think it is one of the things that worked against her in getting the gold in Antwerp at the WC.

There are no individual spots for countries that qualify teams this year. And yes she is China’s #1 score on BB and FX so she will be making the team
