About The Killers:
The Killers are a Las Vegas-based four-piece who formed in 2003, featuring the talents of singer/keyboardist Brandon Flowers, drummer Ronnie Vanucci, guitarist Dave Keuning and bassist Mark Stoermer. The band has received countless accolades for their artistic achievement, including multiple Grammy nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Video Music Awards, NME Awards and more.Their first album, Hot Fuss, was released in 2004 to worldwide acclaim. The album contained the singles “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me,” in addition to the anthemic song “All These Things That I’ve Done,” which has since been referenced by the likes of U2 and Coldplay. The band toured for two years straight behind Hot Fuss, playing more than four-hundred shows, and eventually returned to Vegas to begin to work on the follow-up album with legendary producers Alan Moulder and Flood. The result, a love letter of sorts to their hometown entitled Sam’s Town, was released in 2006 and spent forty-two weeks on the Billboard Top 200.A b-sides collection entitled Sawdust was released in 2007, followed by their third studio album, Day & Age, which was released to widespread critical praise in 2008, anchored by massive single “Human.”The Killers released Battle Bornin September 2012, which saw them expanding their world tour into countries they’ve never visited before, and finally were honored to perform at the world-renowned Wembley Arena, one of the most monumental and significant shows of their career. After a decade of making music, in November 2013, The Killers released a “Best Of” collection, Direct Hits, which featured two incredible new songs alongside classics from the band’s revered catalogue. The band, who have sold over twenty-five million albums worldwide, and headlined all of the world’s top festivals (Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury), released their newest studio album, Wonderful Wonderful, in September 2017, where it landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart the week of its release, as well a stopping the charts in the U.K. and Australia. The album is the band’s fifth consecutive number one in the U.K., and Brandon Flowers’ seventh U.K. number one overall.

Renell clark it was a great show. 80-100k people i think
Perfect crowd. Perfect song. Perfect performance.
Perfect comment

Jack Ward Just like Brandon wanted :). They played it as hard as they could play it, and the people received it as hard as they could receive it.
I have never seen an American rock band embraced by the UK so fully like the Killers. But I don't blame them- they are the best rock band of the 2000s for sure. This song solidified it for me.
They have a European alternative vibe.. Brit’s love that as do I!
@@woof999they where one of the biggest Brit pop bands style ever
Kings of Leon
I think they got their break in the UK, doing a lot of their music there first. Somebody Told Me was definitely a hit there before it got to the US. I'm sure a lot them probably claimed The Killers as theirs because of that.
Both appear to have embraced BRITISH AUDIENCES and pay homage to the help they made to their progress@@joegerard257
No cell phones. Only the moment.
In 2009 the phones we have now didnt exist, thats why.
@@lolpalolo no shit
@@themothisonfire7538 yes shit
@@lolpaloloI mean they kinda did, the iPhone was fairly new but I mean it existed lol
I was there that night. No one can understand how loud that place was! PURE FIRE!
looks like it was a brilliant night
A venue that size full of pure fans! Would've been brilliant!
all concerts sound great in the royal Albert hall. the acoustic are amazing . + having British audience helps lol
I think I will envy you until the end of time. I watched the whole concert, it must have been simply mental.
Lucky man :)
Dear everyone in music,
THIS is how it's done.
You better believe it : )
I wish I knew how to do it like this. ;p
Norma Aguilar yep: ftw
Norma Aguilar Damn straight! Fucking EPIC
PLEASE, MISS THANG, HE IS ON THE WRONG SIDE OF HUMANITY!!!
Hope that every person in that crowd knows how lucky they are
Amo ❤
I know....trust me!!!!
Me and 6 others were there in 2009. I was an absolute blast.
Great memories
It's hard to overstate how much of a cultural phenomenon the Killers were at this time, especially here in the UK. A band, still young but at the height of their powers, putting absolutely everything into a performance and feeding off that same energy and absolute euphoria from the crowd. Must have been incredible, absolute lightning in a bottle stuff.
Well said. I always felt The Killers, (particularly during the era this was filmed) were just a small token of appreciation to the UK from us Americans for the music you guys gave us during the 60s-80s
Huge in the states considering they helm from sin city last vegas very popular state and city still is
THIS LOOKED LIKE THE MOST EPIC CONCERT, I AM SO JEALOUS.
Right????? Just dope
It really was, I was lucky enough to go both nights, right up front. Amazing live band, amazing fans!
ironicyolo420.l love the killers
Best concert ever, second only to Glastonbury 2019!
Same😥
This should be renamed "The Killers - When You Were Young (Live From The Royal Albert Hall) Feat. The Audience."
Ajjajajaja, youre so right
This hits different during a global pandemic. I miss concerts so much.
Me too, Is even harder to us South American Fans, because they don't come relatively often
I saw them 2009 here in Chile and it was amazing. True, I miss so much live performances like this one. Hopefully soon we are gonna to be jumping all together again!
Sheep 🐑
The scamdemic is over thanks to Trump
I’m gonna see them in august I pray it goes like this!
My God, this was the last song of the evening? The energy of this band! What a moment.
This Energy is amazin
The crowd play a huge part in making this so epic!
lucky9381 well that's the goal of a live
London !!!
While I agree, Brandon made a great London Crowd into an Epic Experience.
Also, people just seem to perform better at the Royal Albert Hall.
Yes.
I'm 71 years old and this video gives me chills. I thought the Stones live in San Antonio in 1972 (?) was the greatest show I ever saw, but this just might be better. What a great rock band.
You’re a legend Dan.
Just like you imagined...
When you were young :)
Okay this is cool.
Best band of our generation!💚
It's always nice to see people of your age enjoying modern acts. Rock on bud!
This concert was shot 13 years ago when we didn't really have smart phones just mobiles to stay connected. Hence, the crowd participated & enjoyed every bit of this incredible performance. If this concert had taken place in today's times people would be glued to their smartphones and recorded the entire event without really being a part of it and enjoying it. The band's incredible energy and electrifying performance compelled the crowd to participate & revel with the entire band. Hats off to both Killers and audience for making it an unforgettable and exceptional event.
amen
2024 and still listening! Great performance
Man i would kill to see this song. Unreal.
Then you would be the killer......
+Paakphum smh you just had to didn't you lol
+Aaron rat lol
Weird 'cause songs you can only hear them :/ unless you're synesthesic obviously
o
Now, that's a concert I want to be in.
Wow. Just wow.
Same here. If by concert, you mean, your mum
You what ???
What a show! Best band of our generation 💚
"Sometimes you close your eyes and see the place you use to live, when you were young".......this line is INSANE
Mother: son why are you crying?
Me: nostalgia
I’ve been a long long time fan of The Killers and honestly, they deserve way more recognition.
One of the most criminally underrated live rock bands of all time.
Glad the British get it though. This show is a bucket Lister.
Im ashamed to say that apart from the hits i didn't know much about the killers but tonight that has been rectified and i will be buying all rheir albums in the next few days, the lockdown has been useful for some things.
They're good live, but their only consistent album is the first one (an almost perfect album IMO)
@@MehdiGlz Sams Town was a pretty awesome album. Most Killer fans are split between Sams Town and Hot Fuss as their best ever album. They have a new album this year that has potential to be amazing as well.
crowds responding to HEAAARTCHACHE at the beginning had me goosbumps
Every time I hear it.....
The most "British" American Band is from Vegas... 🎹❤🎸
Define 'british'
They are definitely cool enough to be honorary Brits!!
I like Brit music but they don’t sound British at all
This is one of the few songs that even as a kid, moved me. For some reason it just feels so powerful, and kinda makes me want to cry? I guess it's one of the first songs to give me the chills... it's weird, but one of my favorite songs, if not my favorite song of all time. Actually I take that back, this is my favorite song of all time.
The song has a great beat and great great lyrics, but that guitar lick is incredible, and it just gets inside you! (plus the very great singing too!). Drummer kicked ass! in this live!!!
Word, my now wife and I bonded when we first met over this song, will forever be one of the deepest and most chill giving songs of all time, takes me back to the days when I would get butterflies thinking about her, the killers are epic for giving us such a masterpiece!
It just sounded optimistic to me.
Same, I don’t really like anything else by the killers but this song is literally my favorite song of all time
You took the words out of my mouth, dear Internet stranger. I was in middle school and didn’t even speak proper english but loved this song and now as a young adult, having some life experience… this just hits differently than any other song and I can truly say that it’s my absolute favourite song.
Ah, this is how the crowd is supposed to be at concerts. Fking loved this!
ThePanzerFreak5 exactly
The whole crowd isn’t singing just micd up
Jorge Salazar they are in a place adapted for acoustics though so their singing could come across as loud, watch last night of the proms when the whole audience is singing rule Britania
#NoFuckingCellPhones I remember when I went to concerts... there were no fucking cell phones, nowadays all you see is these damn stupid shit devices in your face.

Not gonna lie I cried watching this. I don't know what it is about that song I just love it so fucking much it's unbelievable.
a fucking men
Fivesecondsofalloutboy Isnotonfire this song just makes people tear up for it being so great I can't blame you lol
cry dude or girl, cry your damn eyeballs out your sockets cause this one damn GREAT version of this song. this version puts me in a BEAUTIFUL PLACE.
I feel that
Me too
The original song is very good. But this live version is truly epic!
i’ve never heard a live performance sound better than the original
Shaun Curran catfish and the bottlemen do it really well
Loads of bands perform better live such as Muse, Metallica, Queen etc. Just don't listen to pop for heavens sake!
You should check out Queen, most of their live versions were better than the studio ones. But I’m not arguing about this it’s epic.
@@TheAskaer young the giant too
Body Paint AM
3:07 arguably the greatest moment in any live concert ever
It's surreal! That lead guitar player had to feel like God at that moment.
no. there is no argument to be made THIS IS THE GREATEST MOMENT IN ANY LIVE CONCERT EVER!!!!!
I can watch this part over and over and over and over.........................
Excellent camera work too!
After all these years, its still one of the best things i've ever seen
👍
Greatest band of the 21st century.
This crowd 10/10 , no cell phones, no cameras, just enjoying this amazing show
More cell phones during this time would have been way better so even more people can enjoy this amazing show ❤️
@@GodsDevastation But wouldnt provide this epic atmosphere
@@GodsDevastation No. No. No. Seeing some wank's phone footage on your phone will never be an adequate substitute for being there. We have professionally shot things specifically for this purpose.
@@pissfarts9532 Not everything is professionally shot and a lot of people miss the oppurtunity to watch it properly
@@GodsDevastation Yeah. That's called life. You don't get to experience everything all the time. That's what makes things special.
At the end of When you were young, Brandon stomps his left foot twice, delivers an epic mic drop as if to say "I have nothing more to say (he knows he just delivered a concert for the ages) raises both fists in total confidence. Thanks all in attendance, then applauds in victory, go ahead watch the last minute again. Fucking EPIC!
This looks like the most insane concert ever omg.
Eoin Connolly reminds me of when Queen played live aide
This will always be in my Top 10 GREATEST live performances of all time. Not just one of the best rock performances but one of the greatest performances in any genre of music. Gives me chill bumps.
Not ashamed to say brings tears to my eyes...this is an absolutely great blend of band/crowd/energy...the singing along...the pyros....perfect!! Gets me everytime.
I watch this every little while because I love the band, but more so to watch the crowd. It makes me feel so damn happy to see so many people, together, dancing and singing and having the time of their lives. The world is so dark and dangerous and awful lately. It’s wonderful to be able to feel human connection and liberation.
it’s been 10 years and this is still one of the best live shows i’ve ever seen. absolutely brilliant!
I agree
2022
So lucky to have been there, I would do anything to have been at this show...
crowd went to see amazing band but the band ended up seeing an amazing crowd!
11 years.... I'm still coming back here for the best live performance I heard ever.
Yeah, but did you hear this one before? :-)
czcams.com/video/ssFkvwCN_RY/video.html
3 more years and i am still here
Just listening back to back to Alchemy Live Sultans of Swing. My 2 favourite Live performances ever.
Finally, a crowd just living in the moment and singing rather than watching the show through their camera or cell phones.
Yes, but this was 11 or more years ago. There were not many smartphones back in that time.
Brandon Flowers is one of the few artists I've seen who looks like he's genuinely enjoying performing for a crowd.
I put this up there with any Bruce Springsteen and the E St. Band concert
And Brandon has said that this song is their Born to run
It's so obvious he thoroughly enjoys performing and puts his heart and soul into every performance. He's a true performer and in this day and age, he's a rarity.
Yes he's a wholesome Mormon but he's Mr. Vegas showman too.
this is one of the best things I've ever seen
deniedxaffection yup. Brightens up my day everytime
Historical Rock and Roll performance. Everything that music is.
Fun fact, the building doesn't even have electricity anymore it still runs off this crowds energy
Who needs a studio when you're this good live?
Holly fuck. That is what a rock band should play like. Awesome.
3:15 never gets old. All of them must've felt immortal during this performance.
Straight up that sent shivers down my spine....imagine being there
Seriously you can dislike this song? The Killers are the most underrated band in this century.
This is one of those rare songs that when you first hear it you know it's gonna be a classic
He has such a unique voice with odd inflections and I’m so glad it’s not all post processing, they’re so great live
I come back here now and again just to listen to the best live song performance ever recorded
"are you willing to receive it as hard as you can receive it?" uhhh stop please. my ovarie are exploding
Thank God I'm not the only one with a mind in the gutter 🤣😂😅
mgmtisyeah lol mine to
Hahahahaha!
hahaha
THE CROWD WENT: EUAAAAAAAHHH
I love the fact that I didn't see a single phone, or camera in the air, just hands. Just people enjoying a concert.
Hehe I see it xD
3:04
Yes! people are so obsessed with recording moments that the don't fully enjoy them
Fábio Araújo
because it was 2009 haha
Having been there that night, I can tell you it was the wildest audio/visual experience I've ever had. This particular song stands out as the greatest live performance and crowd reaction I've ever seen! Absolutely bloody bonkers!
Modern day crowd should be like this! No Phone,no camera, just a hall full of music lover singing the heart out with their favourite songs
You can literally feel the energy and buzz of the band and that crowd. Fuckin mental. These days people are busy watching the whole thing through their phone screens and not really getting into it and living that incredible moment up. Sometimes I wish technology never evolved so much.
On another note, if I could go and see one band live I'd be torn between The Killers and SOAD. Fucking ace
Seriously! I went to a Coldplay concert last year with my sis and I left without a voice! I only had pictures and video from before it started and when we were about to leave. It was an amazing experience.
Not always like that.. It totally depends on where/when a band plays...
Like yeah, if a band is playing at a festival, chances are that not everyone listening are dedicated fans.. Some might even just be waiting for the next act etc.
This usually ends up not being as lively.
If you go to their own concerts, things are pretty much always gonna be crazy. I don't know, maybe that's just in Sweden..
American crowds suck. Probably only roughly 15-30% of the people there rock out hard like this and the others are just stomping their foot or clapping their hands a bit. The music in NYC is great (Billy Joel, Bon Jovi, Journey, etc... but the crowd is like 5% of the awesomeness in this video.
I agree but I also think these people may just want to capture the moment and relive it through their phones. This way they can remember the amazing time they had in this concert.
I Will love this song until i die.
A British band from America
Right back to 2006, senior year.
I was unstoppable and this is one of my most played songs at this time.
Miss my friends. ❤
One of the best bands the best song the best crowd the best venue. .....
These guys don't even need a studio. Unreal
Jordan Vazquez theyre great live but the Albert Hall is a fantastic arena for all music.
Concerts are so much more awesome when people don’t have phones in the air recording. Everyone is paying attention and feeding off each other’s energy.
Feeding off each other energy, perfect line
I love how almost every concert from The Royal Albert Hall sound so perfect with the crowd!
One of the best live performances of all-time. And the crowd has a large part of it.
GOOSEBUMPS. LITERAL GOOSEBUMPS.
They are gonna eat off this song for the rest of their lives!
Watched it at least hundred times and will watch it again and again! fire! One of the most underrated bands!
Its gotta feel amazing to have a crowd like that cheering you on.
It's rare for rock bands to sound this good live. I'm impressed.
RIP Kelin This was one of your favorites. My best friend he even knew how to play it in his guitar, good times. I will remember us singing loud n loving this song n moment. Dios te tenga en la gloria amigo🙏♥️🇵🇷♥️🧿♥️
Cantarla con tu mejor amigo, que gran detalle
It's so great to see a crowd at a show actually singing and dancing!! Most of all, I saw little too no one on their cell phone. Im 40 yrs old and come from a generation where shows looked like this. Im just happy to see people interacting with one another and being in the moment.
THE GOOSEBUMPS!!!!!! THE FUCKING GOOSEBUMPS!!!!!! AARGHHHHHHHGH!!!!!!! *head explodes*
You sit there in your heartache
Waiting on some beautiful boy to
To save you from your old ways
You play forgiveness
Watch it now, here he comes
He doesn't look a thing like Jesus
But he talks like a gentleman
Like you imagined when you were young
Can we climb this mountain? I don't know
Higher now than ever before
I know we can make it if we take it slow
Let's take it easy, easy now, watch it go
We're burning down the highway skyline
On the back of a hurricane that started turning
When you were young
When you were young
And sometimes you close your eyes
And see the place where you used to live
When you were young
They say the Devils water it ain't so sweet
You don't have to drink right now
But you can dip your feet
Every once in a little while
You sit there in your heartache
Waiting on some beautiful boy to
To save you from your old ways
You play forgiveness
Watch it now, here he comes
He doesn't look a thing like Jesus
But he talks like a gentleman
Like you imagined when you were young
(Talks like a gentleman)
(Like you imagined when)
When you were young
I said he doesn't look a thing like Jesus
He doesn't look a thing like Jesus
But more than you'll ever know
Their drummer is the best one of my favorites puts it all on the line
I relate to this song so much. when I saw the video, it reminded me of the close relationship that I had with God when I was young. There was a cross up on a hill where I used to live in Mexico that I used to walk to spend time with God and since I wasn't loved by my family I'd think about meeting the right guy and have a family.. the family that I longed for, but it didn't turn out that way. In the end, I learned that only God's love lasts. Everything else is temporary 😢
Now that's a concert. Not a bunch of people recording the entire performance on their phones.
I'm Puerto Rican but... Let's just admit that British crowds are just the fricking best when it comes to concert, or even at WWE shows. And The Killers, one of the best musical of this generation, absolutely love them!
yes wwe shows
I'm Puerto Rican too... totally agree with you!
Agreed. 🇬🇧
Amen!
Brits world #1 for concert audiences and venues. The Royal Albert hall was built to be acoustically in a class of it's own, long, long before these guys grandparents were around, yet it's still more than holding it's own. The very best of British venues, regardless of your musical taste. Rock, pop, classical. All play very well here.
The Killers! One of the Best band’s of our Generation!! 💚
Damn that crowd was in it to win it! It almost looks like a movie where they were told by a director to act super hyped.Bittersweet too, that was the tail end of pre smartphone in every hand planet earth. Nowadays damn near everyone at every show records the whole time as if they're ever going to sit down and actually watch it. Usually more for their social media than anything.
dude this makes me emotional
Lewis Mitchell you ain't alone.....
By far their best song...blows Mr brightside out of the water
Isles Fan94 Damn straight!
Why even compete? Both masterpieces
Thats like comparing a left boob to a right boob
Bobby Underwood lmao
they're both amazing
And that's exactly how you do a live performance! Quality fair play
“And sometimes you close your eyes and see the place where you used to live” Man this is one of the most powerful lines from a song I’ve ever heard. I’d give a lot to be a kid again, I miss home.
Im sorry but i will be 70 and the killers will still give me goosebumps n just make me smile to myself after a UTTER WANK DAY AT WORK 🖒🖒
After a decade purchasing the dvd box set, this performance still moves me to tears. Just 1 of the most underrated bands of this or any generation.
When I'm feeling down, this gig always puts me in better mood. Thanks you Killers.
Such an underrated band for whatever reason, the best of my generation imo .
i love this band, this song and performance was legendary. i really love how they they made songs that you can easily sing out along with while still having meaningful lyrics.
Video almost brings tears of joy to my eyes. It's that good of a performance. These guys are made of the stuff of legends.
in 2019 too, I'm covered in goosebumps, eyes slightly watering
Wow the energy and involvement of the audience in this could have moved a mountain. There is something about humanity and the universe and our time on earth. Those folks likely completely loved every second of being there in that concert. Do good in this world and live life to the fullest.

I’m 61 and this band is phenomenal 🤩
Possibly the Britishest American band ever
Love how british crowd always react with my killers.. they deserve them (although I know not all them are British, I think)
Ginette Parada they’re from Las Vegas, Nevada USA
Forrest Richard
She’s on about the the crowd not the band.
God damn the acoustics in that place must be incredible.
I watched Hawkwind play there and it was superb
“And sometimes you close your eyes, and see the place where you used to live ….when you …..were young “ Whew 😥 gets me every time.
For fuckin realll dude
I have never watched this without getting uncharacteristically emotional
