The proper way to install the light is to use a conduit between the two. The wire you are using is for internal and not for outdoor. 3 wires should be put inside the conduit - brown, blue and yellow/green. The wire you used will deteriorate under the UV from the sun, plus using PVC around the cable is not recommended. The silicon glue will crack and leak water as the gap is too large.

Keep it away from the side of the house, walls, fences, posts, poles, trees or other objects that could interfere with jumping or be dangerous in the case of a fall. Just a piece of advice to keep your kid safe, hope you don't feel offended.
