Salah is a Premier League legend and a legend of African football (one of the greatest of all time), but this is why he doesn't touch Drogba. Forget the numbers, even when Drogba wasn't prolific and wasn't in the best form, he'd always turn up in the moments like this. Never went missing and made the difference when it counted for 8 consecutive years

I agree he's been in decline, Maybe it's not the wages, but the team dynamic?. Mane, Firmino and Salah just gelled so well together. Diaz, Nunez, Gakpo, Jota and Salah seem to be a group of individuals with no real chemistry. I think that is the main reason why he isn't as effective. I also don't think he's fully back up to speed after the hamstring injury he got in the African Nations. Seems to have lost a lot of pace.

Van Dhk used to be excellent, but he's a shadow of his old self. A lot of goals he allows, Saliba stops them. His lack of leadership at the back hugely diminished the quality of the team. Also, Nunez isn't a player for Liverpool's future he has to leave Anfield this summer.

Jota injury & Gakpo birth are why LFC lost as Mo's out of form. His conversion rate before injury was 23% & now it's 6%. If Jota had stayed fit, & Gakpo baby came a few hours later LFC wud be champs narrowly.
JOTA'S CONVERSION rate is an amazing 33% per football pundit king Souness (& on big chances Jota converts a world best 66% per Rio) - LFC has 1 worldy clinical finisher & ManC has 2 in Haaland & Alverez.

Yep it was his 1 or 2 misses that caused us to lose nothing to do with agent salah saying the ball anytime it came near... nothing to do with klopps favourites mac and szobo.. all have more effect in defence too but na it's all cause nunez missed that 1 chance

@ashwilliams4959 Sure, I agree, but the consistency at which Darwin missed big chances throughout the season placed pressure on the other forwards.Continuously ruining the flow of the game and goal scoring form. He's been a liability in a title race.

Salah isn't the issue of why the goals are drying up, it's Nunez. He is Nico Jackson in disguise. But at least Jackson has the excuse of it being his first season at his club...

Great logic.. They should sign a non-disclosure agreement that they aren’t allowed to comment on anything negative about footballers better than them.

I dunno. I'd rather listen to ex PROFESSIONAL footballers talk about football rather than some fat nobody who's football career peaked at playing FIFA. These two may have never been world class, but they were still the top 1% of the top 1% of football players
