Why would A’LLah send down a Book of Guidance fully detailed 6:114 and states nothing has been left out 6:38, then advises us to was before prayer 5:6 and then not leave us the instructions of Prayer? Wrong the gospels were written between 20 to 35 years after Jesus except for john his was written about 60 years later and Paul wrote approximately 20 years after Jesus. We have other witnesses not only to the dates but also to the authorship of the gospels and epistles. The new testament was quoted in the first and early second century by people who knew the apostles. One of which was papias who bears record to the authorship of the gospels.
@fractious 18 according to people who knew the apostles such as Papias it was greek except Matthew his wouldve been Hebrew considering he was writing with proof of Jesus' messiahship to a Jewish audience. Also considering the audience of the others such as John writing to a more gentile audience it wouldve been greek which would be the reason the Greek word logos wouldve been used for John 1:1. Luke of course being a doctor and of Greek descent wouldve also known Greek and wrote to a person named Theophilus which is a greek name. Mark wrote on behalf of Peter according to papias and other witnesses also in Greek to the Jewish diaspora which wouldve predominantly spoke greek outside of judea since at this point in time Hebrew was becoming a dead language. My guess is that the word was passed down to others who wrote on behalf of what they heard. I’ve heard there aren’t any original manuscripts, but copies, of copies, of copies, of copies. Example: If my dad told me something, and I told my mom what my dad had said, and she’s asks me who I heard this from, I could say “according to dad” this, so and so event happened. That’s just what I got out of this. I’ve also heard there are a TON of eye witness manuscripts not from the disciples. You have to remember the crucifixion was witnessed by tons of people. So word spread around and was carried down until someone wrote it down. You could also look at it this way. If no one other then the 12 disciples wrote anything down or passed on what they had been taught, then Jesus did a terrible job of spreading his word.

The whole bible uses first names, even in the old testament. They didn't use last names at that time. Example, Jesus of Nazareth, Simon the tanner (Acts 10:6) was identified by what he did for a living. Even in the Quran Jesus is identified as Jesus, son of Mary, Moses, Abraham, Issac, Jacob, etc. So unless you think the Quran made a mistake by not correcting the the names of the prophets from the Bible and giving them last names, then one can assume that it is correct in the Bible; hence, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. What was Muhammad (s.a.w) suppose to ask them? My suggestion to you would be to read a few verses before 10:94 to find out what was being revealed that he may ask. The Quran doesn't deny the previous scriptures or prophets rather it denies the 100% authenticity / preservation of the message they brought.

Nice try Tarikh al Tabari is not authentic since the chain of transmissions r not authentic and the narration of the nar-rators lack credibility.
The whole bible uses first names, even in the old testament. They didn't use last names at that time. Example, Jesus of Nazareth, Simon the tanner (Acts 10:6) was identified by what he did for a living. Even in the Quran Jesus is identified as Jesus, son of Mary, Moses, Abraham, Issac, Jacob, etc. So unless you think the Quran made a mistake by not correcting the the names of the prophets from the Bible and giving them last names, then one can assume that it is correct in the Bible; hence, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

The problem is that the gospels were anonymous books and we don't know who wrote these gospels in very fluen and very skilled ancient greek when the language of Jesus and his disciples was Aramaic, they add according to Matthew according to Marc according to John according to Luke, and so none of those canonical gospels were written from eyewitnesses so it's impossible that the disciples could have written, so the question is.. From 24000 documents, gospels and old documents who gave the authority to 300 years after Jesus to say this is the word of God, this is not ecc.?

Quran, the book that came 500 years after Jesus ? This is rough, Jesus was perfect, Muhammad was a rapist, a murderer, etc. Using his logic, when he says Jesus himself never said he was god, Muslims must agree that Jesus what is the son of God son of Mary Messiah miraculously born since it is written in the Quran, but Jesus himself never said so. What was Muhammad (s.a.w) suppose to ask them? My suggestion to you would be to read a few verses before 10:94 to find out what was being revealed that he may ask. The Quran doesn't deny the previous scriptures or prophets rather it denies the 100% authenticity / preservation of the message they brought.
Scriptures before you was the injeel and tora the original books not the edited and changed versions we have today ... the original injeel and tora was with the Christians and Jews before it was corrupted and changed .... the COMPLETED manuscripts Christians have today only goes back to 4th century so they can not compare what they have now to the original to see if it is still the same we Muslims believe that what the Christians and Jews have now is corrupted and has been changed and we use the Quran as a filter as it has be preserved and we believe it is the word of God ... so if any of the scriptures agree/ goes line in line with what the Quran has to say about it then it is true but if the Quran says one thing and the other scriptures says something else the Quran is our authority over the matter !
