Macrame Coaster Tutorial- Easy Coffee/Plant Coaster

Grab your supplies and let's make this easy beginner macrame coaster. Use it for your coffee or tea, or display a beautiful plant.
Materials:
3mm 3ply macrame cord from Nook Theory
Scissors
Dowel 3/8 inch
Comb to brush the fringe
Knots Used:
Larks head
Double half hitch
Square knot
Cord Lengths: Cut 12 Cords at 53 inches and 2 cords at 14 inches
*Attach your 12 cords to your dowel using a larks head knot.
*Next use your 14 inch cord and tie 24 double half hitch knots around your 14 inch cord right underneath your larks head knots.
*Tie 6 square knots in the first row, then 5 alternating square knots in the second row. Continue this pattern for a total of 13 rows.
* Using your last 14 inch cord. Tie another 24 double half hitch knots.
* Slide your dowel out of the cord and cut between each of the loops to create your fringe. Trim both sides of your fringe and brush. Trim the rest of your fringe to your liking and enjoy!
