Short answer: It depends on your tasks. If you need a strong research tool with more up-to-date information, go for Perplexity Pro. If you value more on a all-in-one productivity tool like creative tasks, then ChatGPT Plus. I'm posting another video between the 2 pro versions this week, stay with me!
Do you have some names for the tools? Honestly speaking, for now Perplexity is by far the most outstanding as compared to other AI answer engines that I’ve tried for researching purposes. I always double checked responses, of course it’s not hitting 100% all the time, but the accuracy is pretty high. I recommend you also give it a try!

Welcome! :) ChatGPT hallucinates often because it's not based on the most updated data, unlike Perplexity that has its online LLMs. I see they both have different strengths and it depends on the task purpose, I'll do a more deep-dive between the 2, stay tuned!

(I can conceive English with quite a few accents of other languages, besides AmEn/BrEn, but I struggle to recognize quite a some of your words, like [fret] for "thread", [kæik] for "quick", etc. If you wish, look in autogenerated CC texts for video to know which words l mean exactly, it mistakes in your speech recognition too, and does that like me). ...Hope this was helpful.
It really depends if you're a heavy user or not for the tasks. For my case, I found it beneficial to upgrade to unlock more features since I use them a lot.

When you say “updated”, do you mean getting more up-to-dated data to generate response? If yes, from what I test it vs chatgpt3.5, it is. Perplexity use Online LLMs for grabbing most updated info. I tend to believe it’s also the case in chatgpt4, but they 2 have different positions and it greatly depends on what you use it for.
It still hallucinates (and every AI Chatbot has some levels of hallucinations), but compare with ChatGPT, it is much less obvious, as it always generates responses based on search data (unless you use the purely writing mode)
ChatGPT and Perplexity are both great, but Perplexity writes better stories and dialogues. It's not run-off-the-mill at all. However, the AI Pi is not so good, often gives shitty answers. Only the voices are really nice.

Ps... I just asked it what it thought about the UN conclusion that israel is committing genocide in Palestine. The first response completely denied any such finding. When I asked why it had lied and not mentioned the findings on humans rights violations it basically apologised saying it "made a mistake"... Now if artificial intelligence is supposed to reflect human intelligence I'd say "good job"... it tells lies and calls them mistakes just like most people 🙄🍉🏴
Yah, def not 100% factual accuracy and it has its limitations like every AI engines do. Particular when it's related to figures/statistics, sometimes it does return different summary vs the original source. So always do fact check when use.

Perplexity is powered by multiple GPT models (not to be confused with chatGPT which also uses GPT models.) Perplexity feeds website data into its process from Bing. Separately, Bing as a platform uses AI which comes from OpenAI (GPT models.) So no, Perplexity is not "powered" by Bing. Bing is a single source of data not a model.
Some feedback: I really like the content but the pronunciations and sentence structure can be a little tough to understand at times. You could try practicing with the new voice mode of ChatGPT for some quicker feedback and iteration. I don't mean that you should worry about it too much. Your content is understandable. But practice is always good.

Most people won't notice, except for the several times when a word was hard to understand. You speak a little quickly, so maybe by slowing down a little this problem will go away. OTOH, it seems that a lot of CZcamsrs speak quickly! Maybe that's a style, or maybe that's their natural speaking speed. I teach IELTS on italki (search using the name "Buswell"). I'm not a specialist in teaching pronunciation or grammar, but because of my IELTS experience I am good at hearing small mistakes. To prove to you that I know what I'm talking about, if you want I can listen to this again and send you a message with the words that need to be pronounced correctly. Most of my experience is with Chinese speakers, but from the spelling of your last name I'm guessing you are from Hong Kong or Singapore and have been in Canada for a long time. I hear a bit of a British accent, which is another reason I'm guessing Hong Kong or Singapore. This is the first of your videos I have watched, but I'll subscribe to get more. CZcams recommended it to me because I have watched vids on using AI for writing.
