The rotation is already beat the hell up lol... Kershaw recovering from shoulder surgery 36 years old. Bueheler still isnt ready and having rehab issues hasnt pitched in a game in 19 months.. Dustisn may and gonsolin are out with surgery and so is Ohtani with UCL surgery... Glasnow (historically) is made of glass. Strange year for surgiers wth is going on
It literally doesn't matter, they now have so many damn options for a rotation.
To start the season, it'll be-
Yamamoto
Glasnow
Miller
Paxton
Sheehan
They also have aforementioned top prospect Gavin Stone waiting in AAA, along with their other top prospect, Nick Frasso, ready to make his MLB debut at some point.
Buehler is also due back a few weeks after the start of the season, likely just before May. In addition, they'll have Kershaw coming back around July from his surgery, and they'll be expecting Dustin May's return around August.
And in 2025, they'll be getting Ohtani and Gonsolin back, and they're the frontrunners to sign coveted Japanese star pitcher Roki Sasaki, who is literally the Japanese Nolan Ryan. They're rich with options.

For the regular season maybe. But Kershaw is a known choker in the Post Season.

hes got multiple gems in the postseason too. ignoring those good games while just focusing on the bad ones isnt having a good take. hes the best pitcher of this generation. period

A lot of people say those jokes about the dodgers going to lose in the alds against the rockies that went 84-78 in the regular season because they lost against the d-backs in 2023, and i completly understand the jokes, but what people don't see in that d-backs team is that they were actually a team, not only that but they wanted to win, that's why they made it to the world series. They were a balanced team with good players but not shohei ohtani, bryce harper, judge type of players in the roster, they had carrol with a really good season, with drive to win everything, and a solid roster with ability to go that far, and not forgeting marte with an incredible postseason, incredible numbers he did, i guess that's what they playoffs do to some players. Now talking about the dodgers, they were one of the best teams in the league (i guess this is something no one disaggrees with in the 2023 reg season), but they had some players who everyone needs to rely on, and they just couldn't do anything, i think that's the only problem the dodgers have, because in the past 6 years they had a solid roster with some star players that they could rely on, they went like a lot of times to the alcs and alds in those 6 years, they just need that extra boost of dying for the win. And this year they might have somewhat correct that problem, with ohtani we saw in the wbc that he can put the numbers if needed because he really wants to win (that's why he agreed to only receive 2M in the next 10 years so the dodgers can build a good roster to win the world series), so if everyone thought the dodgers were somewhat scary last season, this year and next ones they might be different

Signing Chokeshaw is the greatest tragedy that the Dodger fans have to suffer yet another year. Hopefully this year we’re bigger than Chokeshaw (ahem, Ohtani) because that’s the only way we can win. Team Chokeshaw is a failure. New era needed.

bauer didnt make poor choices. that women is a gold digger who was out for a fuck and a buck. urias wasnt charged with any crimes. his wife didnt press charges or at least i think thats what happened. no crime committed =baseball has nothing to say. the mlb banning players while they didnt commit any crimes is rather nonsense.
As a braves fan I hate the dodgers, but kersh is the MAN. He’s a complete legend. Simple.
See I’m the exact opposite, I’m a Dodgers fan and I very much enjoy the Braves. Unfortunately they tend to choke at the exact same time as each other since 2019, otherwise they would be who I rooted for in the event of a Dodger exit. Lots of fun players, smart front offices, etc.. I get why folks hate the Dodgers, but in all sincerity I just hope all the teams can have their best at their best when the games matter most. Here’s to a fun 2024 season!

with ohtani not pitching and yoshi being a rookie. expecting dominance immediately isnt how the sport works. 25 will be a better season for the dodgers regardless of how this season goes. expecting greatness while players are injured is dumb as fuck. but then again intelligence isnt common
As a diehard Dodgers fan Kershaw returning is what we need! Granted he won’t be pitching this season but if he were he would be a good Game 3 or 4 starter! I think because of his age and injuries I don’t think Kershaw should or can pitch in game 1 or game 2 situations where it’s more pressure to carry on. But being up 2-0 or 2-1 in any series I believe relives the pressure off Kershaw to pitch better and in those situations where it’s not a “win or go home” situation…

Absolutely not true. Ohtani will not pitch in 2024, Glasnow is a batting practice pitcher in October, not to mention injury prone, Kershaw is a known choker. Anybody who wants to believe that next year is somehow different for this guy is just “insane”. So how did it get better? Other than having Buehler back we have no real positive in this rotation.
It’s funny, Dodger fans are so obtuse that they think having new faces here and there would result in a different outcome. It’ll be the same story in 2024, unless we get two more legit aces and two more reliable bats. Mark my words. I’ve been right for 10+ years.
The issue with Kershaw as of late has clearly been his durability. People are optimistic about Kershaw this postseason because he won’t be coming off of a full season, and he’s had the shoulder injury that was handicapping him fixed.
He wouldn’t probably gotten surgery much sooner if he wasn’t literally the only vet starter not named lance lynn on the dodgers.
I also think ohtani and Yamamoto coming from a culture with such a strong focus on work ethic are going to bolster the team’s energy.
All I have to read is your first line lol. I never said once that Ohtani is pitching in 2024… 😂😂 The rotation gets BETTER with Kershaw in it, rather than him out. Thats the reality.
@@DeepfriedBeans4492 Problem w/ Kershaw is not the shoulder. It’s the nerve. He gets scared s-less in October. There is nothing he can do about it. Yamamoto is certainly a good addition but again, this is not enough to win it all.

kershaw at this point of his career is just a liability especially in the playoffs.
he was rather good last year up until he got hurt. he was an allstar last year as well. remembering the cardinals games or the houston games doesnt really matter now. kershaw isnt even pitching for the next few MONTHS. hes not making an impact at all on the field until after the break
