- In Düsseldorf Germany, the airport has a SkyTrain which connect the terminals to parking and a rail station. The system was developed by Siemens and named SIPEM (SIemens PEople Mover).

Great video! I just noticed Dusseldorf is quite close to Wuppertal where the gorgeous monorail operates. I missed the crispy apple at 5:26.

This is such a great system, and often overlooked or underrated. The lightweight design of the supports and track would be perfect in any urban environment.
I rode this system, the one in Dortmund, and the Wuppertal monorails all in the same day!

Must've been the quietest form of either traveling by rail or being passed by it.
This system seems like it's related to the elevated monorail in Wuppertal, though I guess the technology involved is still a bit different, when it comes to the details. Certainly this SkyTrain does look and feel very futuristic.
