thank you so much for this invaluable recipe! question: can i use a metal bucket to cook the sulfur in? it's zinc galvanized steel bucket. it's supposed to be resistant to corrosion but i worry it might react with the sulfur and sodium hydroxide.
Never use aluminum containers. Steel is possible. However, a lot of heat loss occurs, so it is better to use a plastic container.
@@JADAMORGANIC Thank you so much! I have another question. I already made a small batch, just to get 1 liter of liquid sulfur. I think this amount is too little and didn't produce enough heat. The mixture didn't boil so I put in some more NaOH. The question is: is it now safe to use this liquid sulfur or should i throw it away? I made a solution out of it and sprayed some plants. They're not dead or damaged.

I have a question concerning mushroom cultivation using Jadam to sterilize the grain / substrate (instead of autoclave / heat) .
You mention in the book that JS should not be used as a soil disinfection as it can harden it.
Do you think its a danger in an indoor setting for mushrooms culture? From my understanding it is the JS that is the bactericide / fungicide...

thank you for the content. I have a question, I used a mixture of JS and JMS according to the prescribed dosage and sprayed it on my plants which were affected by purulent leaves and wilting on the shoots but why after that did my plant leaves turn yellow? is there anything wrong with what I did?
JS must be used together with JWA. If you do this, try reducing the amount of JS. JS can also damage young leaves.

We usually adjust the interval according to the situation based on 7 days. Dangerous diseases such as red pepper anthrax are also sprayed daily. Vine is sensitive to JS. A 500-fold dilution is recommended. thank you.

Can you use a polypropylene bucket in stead of polyethylene? Or could I use a metal cooking pot? I want to make a small batch for my houseplants with 500g S, 400g KOH, 50g salt and 1l water (+640g water at the end), but the smallest PE bucket i found is 12l. Based on the ratios I should use a 5l bucket. Or is it not a problem to make it in a too big bucket? Should I instead double the batch to make it fit into my 12l PE bucket? Thank you ❤

It is possible without it. It is added to enrich the minerals. In the case of humic acid, the specific gravity is low, so it seems that precipitation may not be possible.

Glass-like crystals may form when the concentration of JS is increased by evaporation of moisture. Or it can happen in a very cold winter. But this is not wrong.
Will Sulfur + NaOH alone melt/dissolve the sulfur? Would it be possible to mix Sulfur + NaOH alone first and then add minerals later to create custom solutions?
It can be manufactured with only two of them. Salt may be added later.

Hi. It cam be used on strawberry farm when we have flower and want to eliminate trips?
Try using 800ml of JWA, 40g of NaOH, 40g of clay based on 20L.
This recipe is sure to subdue even the most difficult pests, the thrips.
Soft water must be used for water. And add NaOH by pre-dissolving it in a little water. Clay is also added by dissolving it in water beforehand. Depending on the crop, it may cause concentration disturbance. Partial testing is required beforehand.
When spraying this pesticide, be careful not to come into contact with the skin.

Why do you add the nutrients to this (clay, rock dust) if this is just insecticide/germicide? Is the sea salt an essential ingredient or optional for the reaction?
JADAM-style natural pesticides are also nutrients for crops. Therefore, the color and sugar content of the fruit are improved, and the growth is good. It is made by adding rocks and salt to enhance nutrition.
I think the clay is used in insecticide to make it more effective by sticking to the plant/insects.

absolutely not. Aluminum melts. Heat-resistant containers are very common around here. All you need is a plastic bottle material.

When heat is generated, stir until the sulfur is completely dissolved to completely dissolve it. After the heat has cooled, the sulfur is no longer soluble.
