An interesting note about the fact the sun was a meek rabbit the whole time. You're not just fighting the sun. You're taking the embodiment of running away from the end, sitting high in the sky, untouchable and without ANY doubt that this is the way it's supposed to be, forever, and dragging it the fuck down once and for all.
I still think the rabbit is White Mage. A note mentions that "some" of the mages are humans. And the achievement for no hitting is called "No Hit White Rabbit". White Rabbit follows the naming convention of other mages and is conspicuously powerful.
And I think Rasta is the black mage, why not white? Well the green mage is named after his green clothes, not the purple skin on his hands so because Rasta is dressed in black I think that he's the black mage.
Because the devs really wanted to make a battle against the sun (and you can tell they really enjoyed making it because they said the sun battle was the most fun to make)

Some of my enjoyment from this boss got ruined by the weird change in absorption timing. Like I died in so many instances where Red just didn't grab the projectile he was supposed to grab (that he would grab in every other boss fight). Other than that, this boss fight is so badass.

The rabbits footprints are the games mechanic to mark where you gotta go next. follow the white rabbit is an allegory from alice in wonderland, an inspiration to this game. and the rabbit represents the white light at the end of the tunnel, that is, the final marker before true death. so to kill the world you have to kill the ultimate source of light, THE SUN
