    Product details:
    www.motip.com/en-en/automotiv...
    How to use:
    BEFORE USE, CAREFULLY READ THE DIRECTIONS ON THE PACKAGING AND ACT ACCORDINGLY.
    1. Remove loose old lacquer and rust and sand the surface.
    2. The surface should be clean, dry and free of grease. The aerosol should have room temperature. Best processing temperature 15 to 25°C.
    3. Before use, shake the aerosol for 2 minutes and spray a sample. Distance to the surface to be treated approximately 25 to 30 centimetre.
    4. Apply the Stone Chip Spray in several layers. After drying, without sanding, re-sprayable with all lacquer systems.
    5. After use, clean the valve (turn aerosol upside down and press the nozzle for approximately 5 seconds).
    6. The drying time depends on the ambient temperature, the humidity of the air and the thickness of the lacquer applied.

    Here's a handy little trick I invented. You can spray a crap load of stone guard into a disused dish or bowl and dab a cloth into it and then touch up your stone guard by dabbing it generously onto the vehicle periodically. No screwing with tape or overspray and you can keep your stone guard in perfect order. I do that on my 2003 Honda Civic. Not a spec of rust on it anywhere.

      How about spraying it over some surface rust? Or better to first remove the rust?

    • @CoreMaster111

      @@inikol If you want to spray it over rust then first you really need to remove any loose rust and use a rust converter to neutralize it before you paint over it.

    Can this be sprayed over existing factory coatings. For example in the arches of a 1990 vw, will it cure on top of the original body sealant?

      @renatleongardus467 Před měsícem

      Technically, you have to remove the old sealant. To the bear metal and use use anti-rust zinc primer and then anti- gravel

      It is a slightly thicker lacquer, so it does give a slight texture.

    What's the difference between the "Medium Solid" and "High Solid" version of the spray?

    • @MOTIP_eu
      @MOTIP_eu  Před rokem +1

      This has to do with the coverage you want to achieve. The high solid version is slightly thicker and therefor covers more.

      Hello William,
      You do not have to use MOTIP - ANTI GRAVEL spray on a sump, simply because it is not necessary. However, should you wish to protect it, the MOTIP - ANTI GRAVEL spray can be used for this.
      Kind regards,
      Your MOTIP-Team

    Does this add texture or just colour and protection?

    • @MOTIP_eu
      @MOTIP_eu  Před 2 lety +1

      Mostly colour and protection. However it is a slightly thicker lacquer than for example medium solid, so it does give a slight texture.

      Thank you for your comment. In general, the bitumen spray is a little drier than the wax and a little less sticky. Also, the wax always remains slightly softer than the bitumen.
