2 years ago I used to deliver linens to a pathology ward at a health university. I would pass this giant freezer with bodies inside. I would always play Dragonflies to Sew You Up by Prurient when I would deliver there just to add a level of anxiety to the experience. It made an OK job better.
Justin Broadrick led me to Hospital Productions. Which led to Vatican Shadow… then this. All of this guys work is something else. Something special. Hits all ends of the spectrum. For those that need something more… “chill”, peep Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement.
Same here! I ADORE Godflesh and Justin, I saw a Prurient live video and read that he was on tour with GF immediately checked it out, Vatican Shadow is great too. And years ago Justin also brought me to Blut Aus Nord when he mentioned them in an interview. Amazing band and in my top five five now
i love the fact that Prurient is so "professional" at making noise, many people like random improvisation, personally i love this more, its more like a controlled chaos❤
Saw this guy live twice in Newcastle uk back in the day and I bought loads of tapes cds and vinyl ! He was really nice person and seemed to be quite interested in talking about various types of music for a couple hours ! Just before I left he gave me a split lp he did with Nicole 12 on vinyl ! I just wish people would book good music like this in Newcastle these days !!!!
This guy is the only noise artist I could listen for hours and hours, there is a poetry behind all his works, I think Frozen Niagara Falls and Rainbow Mirror are the two best releases in the last decade.
I like those but my favorite would have to be the Point and Void rerelease which actually should be considered a Sickness release as much as a Prurient release (Sickness basically took the sounds from the Point and Void tape and reconstructed them). Also the Cocaine Death compilation is mandatory, it’s a perfect bridge between the earlier all harsh material and the later synth driven material.
This footage is insanely good, thank you so much for this. Prurient is one of my favourite artists and I would love to be able to see him live one day; though this is almost like the real thing! Found you off of instagram by the way.
kinda funny how there's insane clipping on the recording, yet i don't think anyone noticed it... and it arguably makes it sound even better. thank you for sharing!
Ok one question. How are people that make experimental music like this abled to recreate their songs live on stage??? For me it's almost impossible to recreate all the steps that led to the finished song.
Not sure about the first one, but around 14 minutes starts Military Road, Let's make a slave (de-shelled), Cocaine Death, Shoulders of Summerstones, Poinsettia Pills, and Falling Mask.
I'd say yes. Looks like he's using it for vocals and to create feedback. I think a lot of the screeching we're hearing comes from his mics picking up feedback.
Hold up - are you implying that Dom somehow doesn’t have what is takes to build the next Reese’s endorsement promo campaign around? Because not only was that, in fact, a Reese’s Brand®️ peanut butter cup, this entire show is a long form Reese’s commercial merely MASQUERADING as a Prurient set.
@@user-kk4sj4ih3e He's actually bounced around a lot. Prurient started when he was in high school in Wisconsin during the '90s and his work only really began to pick up steam after he moved out to Rhode Island for college. The periods in New York and I think Berlin were a lot more recent.

I've never really understood noise music, but for whatever reason this guy really speaks to me. Very cool.
Frozen Niagara Falls is not only a good noise record, but I think of the best records for music of all time
This is exactly what i feel too. Just interesting how we all can feel the same sometimes...

Cocaine Death is my favorite
this has to be the best prurient live footage i've ever seen! and the sound is superb you can hear everything. thank you for uploading this.
i remeber when I got into him there were maybe three, phone camera quality videos from some random concert
tbh of all the live footage of any artist, this has been the best quality
first time listener. totally blown away.
This might be the best noise footage on CZcams

@@Chaosequencer ;-) You're welcome
What is the song at 10-12 min?
I am astonished by the quality of this recording. Brilliant.
Congratulations Moscow and Pluton for inviting Prurient! And of course congratulations Prurient!
This version of Shoulders of Summerstones is incredible. If only the original track had the large sums of distortion it has live.
Cathartic as fuck.
So much emotion, so much complexity, so much... everything: perfection.
Damn, perfect footage 🤯. I’ve only been lucky enough to see him once.
I wonder how much ear piercing is this live?

I love prurient so much :)

he leaves without saying bye so badass haha
It was great!
It's cool how he still does the flounce off at the end.
There are some machines that cannot be stopped ⛓💀⛓
Love to see this live And met Him once In Glasgow when One was working on his other projects live Aka Vatican Shadow But they are both amazing live
This is absolutely massive
This is unbelievably sick!
that ear-covering guy made it a little more epic
That's awesome!!! PISSED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really hope that this will become a real live release.

Agreed, the first 13 minutes have a huge stereo digital clipping which is not a nice noise. I think it comes from his live..
凄いのひとこと!
I like this version Shoulders of Summerstones more than the one in the album
