The number of chain depends on the desired length of the hair, Just make double crochet in the 2nd chain from the hook and 1 half double crochet in the last stitch then slip stitch.😊
She put the instructions for that in the comments and if you watch her she did 12 chains but I measured my dollhead and I needed at least 24 and she said that in the instructions, make it as long as you wish and then start from the second chain to do double crochet until you reach the last chain and then you do half double crochet. Then slipknot to the next stitch and do exactly the same thing over and over until you reach the fringe. She did 6 shorter ones so less chains for the fringe. It’s up to you. Watch her do it first.
Copying this for my own reference to try this out - I'm new to crochet so I may misunderstand the pinned comment, so refer to that for more accuracy. rnd 1) in a magic ring, make 6 single crochet rnd 2) 2 sc in every st. (12) rnd 3) (2 sc, increase) x6 (18) rnd 4) (2 sc, increase) x6 (24) After this point, begin a crochet chain. End it at the desired length of hair. In the 2nd chain from the hook, begin double crocheting to the end. In the last stitch, make 1 half double crochet. Slip stitch into the rest of the piece and continue with a new crochet chain.
Wow you moving so fast...you like you forget that you got begginers watching and trying to follow...with no instructions. Thanks anyway for sharing your video....I tried your basic steps and add my own ideas..I must say that I am please with my outcome.
While the outcome of your work is nice, here are just some points of feedback for your video: 1. Please be consistent with labelling your instructions. Just like you did with the magic ring up to the 3sc and increases. It was really difficult to follow when it came to the most important part which was the hair strands. Not only did you not include written labels on what to do, you also sped up that part of the video. 2. If you're not going to include written labels or at least a written pattern on the description, the least you can do for your audience is to do a voiceover for the instructions.

No instructions re chains and stitches? Didn’t see them captioned like the wig cap was. Won’t know how to make them otherwise. Thanks.
