Awesome video! I usually structure training like this:
    1. Speedkicks reflex drills
    2. Throw break drills or offensive labbing
    3. Matches (alternating sides)
    4. Replays (learning frame data, punishment, practice blocking, ducking, stepping
    5. Whatever thing I really want to get better at. Lately it’s been launch punishing lows
    6. Pick a problematic character to lab
    7. Watch some video of higher level players playing my character
Every few weeks I like to switch between focusing on eliminating bad habits during matches and creating new positive ones

I tell my friend to review his replays but he's too lazy lol. So he keeps making the same mistakes and has been playing the same way for years 😂

Definitely felt a break through today in my playstyle when it comes to neutral and mixing ppl up. Had a solid day

Ever since I’ve made tekken king , all I face is tekken gods and destruction and I’ve been getting my ass handed to me 😭. I thought I had good defense and offense and strategy. I lost like 15 sets in a row 🥴 thought about giving the game a rest until your video popped. Bout go rewatch my replays. Tekken king and above show no mercy. Thanks tricky. If anyone would like a sparing partner, I’m all in for it to help make each other better 👌🏾

I started reviewing my matches.. i didnt before. And I can say.. that helps more than training to be quite honest. You can train things that actually happen in a match and will more than likely pop up again...a lot of people generally play the same way. I did it recently with VIctor matches. I just replayed all my matches. Then after.. i got a victor..and picked him apart.

4:21 I really like this take, I watched a video the other day talking about how people learn the game wrong by starting with combos and not knowing how to actually start their offense or play the neutral and while I think that's a valid point, I love what you said about defense being what allows you to NOT lose.
I also think with a game like Tekken, you can't really maximize defense first as a new player because that takes a LOT of time so you should work on other things as well. And as you said combos is a very easy place to start that does provide very high value when you're first learning the game.

Another banger video. I could write a long reaction to this video, but I can write for days about it. Bottom line, this is an amazing video.

I have over 200K points in Arcade Quest lol. I practice almost every other day. I'm currently Shinryu. I've only been demoted twice. And I use only Xiaoyu. Tekken 8 has been mostly fun. I hate cheaters. But I good enough to deal with them half the time. Defense is my lowest stat. I'm a very aggressive Ling. My parries and grab breaks need work.
Random but be careful saying the word "k ill". CZcams might not like that. Some content creators say "kill in minecraft".
    Great Video 👍

10:50 i was the ID10T user who requested the anti-Xiaoyu guide for this very reason. i have such a hard time when the people i play use moves that are not very obviously punishable on block.
its good to know that i’ll just have to take these replays on a case-by-case basis and find the parts of the strings i can duck, sidestep/sidewalk, high and low crushes, etc.
i have to learn when not to press against these people with such oppressive strings

This whole convo is also funny to me cause it reminds me of how I started with combos in SF6 when I'd never played a SF game prior, and then it got to a point where I couldn't play the neutral or get into situations to launch people, but that was after climbing the ranks a little so it made sense.

Wow another banger, a lot of this seems to be common sense that's fallen out of popularity. More and more I'm seeing it's hipster now to tell learners to eschew any bnb combo or block punish combo or any solid foundation to build from and instead just punish with a single hit and focus on defense the "proper game". Always struck me that if you have no combo at all your opponent's risk/reward is wildly abnormal and encourages very weird yolo play.

I just need to play more for one. Too many damn games out and not enough time. I am trying to correctly sidestep. Defensively and offensively. I am switching characters until I find someone that really clicks. Getting them to red then trying the next that seems interesting.
