She really is a beautiful young lady. I'm seeing a new confidence in her gymnastics. The move to America is really helping her transform. Training with Biles certainly doesn't hurt either. Just wait until she increases the difficulty as the Olympics approach.
I think the split jump 1/1 is a C, and so the final D-score should be 5.7 Also, the split leap 1/1 and the switch split leap 1/1 are inverted in the description, but that doesn’t change the final score Edit: speaking about floor ofCourse
I assume the creator messed up because Melanie was given a 5.6. If she was given that difficulty score, they probably credited her switch leap 1/1 as just a switch leap 1/2
The way the Landii's have reconstructed Melanie's routines is smart, efficient and it's working for her. Her beam has a more aggressive rhythmic flow to it and she's way more confident. It's now a beam routine that puts her in medal contention. And her bars was amazing! I saw very few deductions. Again super confident. The Landii's are shaping her into a strong all-arounder. I hope she medals at World's and Paris.
Her vault routine is great. However, she has the potential to upgrade her vault routine to more of a higher difficulty in order to Medal at the World Artistic Gymnastic Championship and leading up to the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games.
I forgot to watch the competition TV, so I recognized her when watching clips of other athletes, but thought I was tripping because she competes for France. Now this explains it.
I don't like floor music at all. It also seems to me she needs better toe point on beam and floor when appropriate. Her bars looked great. She is definitely an AA contender at Worlds IMO. Especially if Russia is still out.
