Incredible 93 year old dancer performs same routine 74 years later.

93 1/2 year old legendary dancer Jean Veloz performs a routine she first did for a movie called "Swing Fever" in 1943. She had not performed the routine in 74 years.
93 year old Jean is seen with her 19 year old self doing the same dance routine on a big screen behind her with a clip from 1943.
Los Angeles dancer and teacher Rusty Frank recreated the "One Girl and Two Boys" routine to be performed for the 20 year anniversary of Camp Hollywood. The other two dancers are Steve Conrad (Army) from the Arizona Lindy Hop Society, and Joel Plys (Navy) from San Diego. Music by the Bill Elliott Swing Orchestra.

Part of this routine was also performed by Jean, Steve and Joel for the NBC TV show "Little Big Shots: Forever Young".

My great grandma lived to 114. She was an award winning ballroom dancer who kept on dancing. Never sick, never complained. Died peacefully in her sleep.

When I was younger I remember my elders saying never stop dancing. Now that I'm older I can truly understand why they said it. Dancing keeps us in touch with the rhythms of life. If you stop dancing you lose the rhythm and you begin to age in the worst way. Don't lose the rhythm. Never stop dancing 🥰

@@conniekivell797 EZ=easy! I'm watching a 3 part video right now...Dr David Sinclair. He says skip breakfast/small lunch/good dinner. Most I watch say skip dinner instead. I usually stop eating by 3pm, and eat 'brunch' at around 11 or 12. I did it all in baby steps.

Can't stop crying because I've been feeling sorry for myself for just turning 60 years old and feeling old even though I'm in good health and exercising everyday. She is going to motivate me. I feel changed by this out and out love. I am so grateful that this film crossed my path. I thank all involved.

Dancing is fun exercise and I do it every chance I get and I'm 66. Some of my wife's friends, associates who have never met me are surprised when they stop by and I'm in the yard doing something. I'm usually listening to music and I let it move me as I do whatever it is I'm doing. Right now I have over 40 CDs on my phone's Micro SD Card and a playlist of close to 300 songs ranging from Swing to R&B to Rock and Roll. Keep moving and don't let idiots tell you that you are supposed to sit down and not do anything after you've reached a certain age. Oh, I had a heart attack and bypass surgery in 2013 and I still move...

At 69 I would give anything to know that if I went to a dance club that just SOMEONE would ask me to dance. Dancing is my life even though I didn't dance for a living! So many nights I listen to music on youtube and just dance my old heart out in my living room!!! Though I would prefer to be at a dance club dancing my heart out......

All u need to do is keep moving and grooving! I'm only 70, but most days I do at least 2 10 min exercise videos, 10 min Tai Chi, 30-45 min bike ride, and/or a 25 min dog walk. As my dogs stop to sniff, I do a walk in place to keep my heart rate up. Move frequently for tons of energy. One of the best thing u can do for your diet is eat real food (not processed) and give up sugar. Avoid bad fats> It's worth it to switch to avocado oil, real olive oil and coconut oil. Ppl guess I'm in my early 50's. Too many of my friends are dead already.
I really enjoyed this. Her movements were so fluid for a woman her age. So many women in their 70's, 80's and 90's are so stiff and wobbly. Shows how important it is to keep moving throughout your life. I hope I am still dancing when I'm in my 90's.

For some reason this makes me want to cry. I think it's just the sheer beauty of a lovely elegant lady at the ripe old age of 93, with her hair done and a lovely man treating her so gently on the dance floor and her just killing it! I suppose the beauty of her spirit.. Its what's making me tear up. Reminds me of what my mother could be if she were still alive though younger.

My father started taking ballroom dancing at the age of 70. He's one of my favorite dance partners and one of the best in the class. It's NEVER too late to start.

Don't feel bad. I hosted a small event for seniors & they were still dancing long past the time I was worn out. Eventually I had to cut the music so the last of them would leave. I was in my 30s.
I walk 5 miles a day trying to keep in shape. I did start dancing as part of my routine. I am 65 years old and feel great.

My mom was 60 when she died, but when I watch these videos, it's like watching her and my dad, they were always dancing, my dad's still alive he'll be 80 in August, and he still goes dancing with his lady friends. Mom and dad were so happy on the dance floor.
