This is probably the realest and most honest conversation I've seen on this podcast.
I really enjoyed this conversation. They can actually hold a full conversation and complete their trail of thought because Joe is not here trying to dominate the conversation and convince everyone that his opinion is the only one that’s valid.
No matter how you feel about Wendy . Being a son of my mother who has dementia is heart wrenching to watch. You're watching your matriarch, your provider, teacher, caregiver and first example of how treat a woman and how you should be treated. You're watching that person deteriorate in real time.

Unpopular opinion. I’m happy lifetime put this out. That woman is not being treated and getting the help she needs and because of that documentary we are now talking about it. The public knows. That will honestly help. I think the issue she is gonna have is a lot of people don’t feel sorry for her because of what she is famous for
I agree - this allowed the public to see what’s going on and that something isn’t right and hopefully she will get the justice she deserves

Alcohol induced dementia. She can get better just can’t drink no more. Grandma had same thing. Put her into a rehab center and she got her memory back. Crazy

The exact situation with my dad. I had to put him in a memory care home cause he developed AID. he’s been there for close to 2 years and his memory improved but still has signs of dementia present. Some people you can save, some people are too far gone no matter how you help.

Lifetime needed to put this 4 part series out. If not the public would not know anything about Wendy’s real situation. Now questions from other attorneys & higher ups are asking questions and raising concerns. Wendy needs help to get out of that guardianship.

It's interesting that we have two high profile cases of dementia going on at the same time. Bruce Willis and his family are dealing with it the right way. Wendy's people are all over the place. They can blame the guardians all they want but the son lost guardianship/power of attorney because the spending was out of whack. Family needed to come together for this early on.
u know bruce has real love around him that his ex wife demi can come back and support... that's wow.... that's love, even with the wife he has now, that would take a lot to let the ex wife come help..... they really love that man..... we wont see that happen often....... LEVELS TO LOVE

This is the first time I've heard anyone mention the son in this light! Anyone who knows how it is to deal with an alcoholic alone, knows they never want to be around the ppl that don't enable them and their habits! How the courts didn't see that, I'll never know! The son's financial experience isn't that of a middle class childs. He is the child of a VERY WEALTHY TV host... Probably to the tune of $500 million! He spends and see's money differently. So $100k on Uber eats or whatever, may not have been alot by their standards! It seems strange that they just didn't put Wendy in a Financial Guardianship, I don't see anyone commenting on how good & healthy Wendy looked and acted in those videos from when she was living with her son.... Fast forward to the Guardianship - now there's random bottles of Ketel One in her bedroom, that we KNOW she didn't buy! How did her alcoholism get worse after leaving her family, how is it that her 80+ yr old father can't see his daughter - when in all actuality she really should be closer to him!

I never saw dementia. I saw straight up drug/prescription medication abuse. I also saw her thyroid condition……but definitely not dementia. She was just higher than a kite all the time and completely over medicated to the point of being a zombie.
She has a medical diagnosis.
Question? To touch something I've heard mentioned on here before: if Wendy's been open about her own struggles, how is what's happening with her now karma? It would be one thing if she stayed mum about her own ups and downs in life but if she reported about both her stuff as well as those of celebrities, WHO STILL HAVE NOT COME OUT IN RESPONSE TO WHAT HAS BECOME OF WENDY, then how could anyone say this is what she deserves?

To be fair, you can't just stop because you suddenly get a conscience. If as a company put in a lot of money for a documentary, you can't just back out because you feel some kind of way. You can maybe shift the intent for the documentary but you have to go through with it regardless.

The fact they kept sayin she was a alcoholic showed me that was their goal. It wasnt lifetime. It was the manager and ppl workin around her. They made it seem like they was helping her but the whole time they purposely made her look bad. Why mention how she wants alcohol? I seen alcoholics. Wendy never once seemed drunk. They never showed her drinking like a alcoholic. I know older ppl who are alcoholics and if u do a documentary on them youll see them drinking non stop and drunk. For all we know. As upsetting as it was to watch, I’m more relieved to know that the public is now aware of her condition and the people who were around her that SHOULD HAVE been helping her regardless of her status, stop being pussies and get that woman help! Somebody had to be going to buy her liquor, someone knew she had appts and wasn’t following up to assist with her needs, someone sees her and hears her struggling to be who she once was and no one really gives af.
