Ngl a little disappointed Grodus doesn't have different dialogue when Vivian is the main partner cuz he just casually says the Three Shadow were useless while one of them is directly staring at him.
Beldam was the one that primarily talked to Grodus, Vivian and Marilyn were kind of just there so one can argue, he never paid that much attention to them.
To be fair, Vivian was the only one that directly addressed him as just Grodus as opposed to the other partners that were like, "so you are the leader of the X-Nauts" one way or another. And I'm pretty sure that was a change from the original Grodus w/ Vivian dialogue.

Is it weird that I kind of wish that all partners actually showed up together during the cutscenes of the grodus battle and the shadow queen's awakening? Like they could still just have the current partner do most of the talking like they did at the crystal star altar.

@@brettlarch8050 I'm not trying to be ungrateful as they do all appear during the crystal star altar. I just feel like since this is the final chapter that all of them should be present during the final battle especially when everyone is cheering for them. They could just have the current partner be the one talking and everyone else can just react to the situation.

I love how Baby Yoshi roasts Grodus the hardest while also admitting how he and the party are idiots for opening the gate for him xD
Mario and Co. were done here if it hadn’t been for Bowser inadvertently saving their hides by smashing Grodus, even if he did try to take them out himself in typical Bowser fashion. Bowser may be a villain, but Grodus is straight up maniacal!
You have to be to think that the spirit of an evil queen is gonna obey you just because you set her free.

This scene show all Mario's partner react throne room, especial Vivian because her familiar feeling from her shadow clan herself.
Grodus is Thanos, and Mario would say to his partners, "Avengers, ASSEMBLE!"

Macho grubba did butter than that
He makes up for it with his magic and the Grodus X's that defend him.
50 HP might seem low, but he's the strongest X-Naut and for good reason.

@@CROWNEDDOOMER682 I thought I was over prepared until I reached the Shadow Queen. Grodus becomes pretty easy as long as you get rid of the Grodus X's and make sure not to get frozen by his ice and time stopping magic. Vivian helps in getting rid of them.

What did he even need the crystal stars for at that point after finding a "secret" entrance past the door? Yeah, this game had a lot of contrivances ngl
After Mario got the 6th star, he got the idea of the secret entrance. Or maybe the shadow sirens found the "secret" entrance after they realize what were doopliss abilities.
im pretty sure that was a lie, after all its revealed doopliss transformed into the professor, and that doopliss professor was the one who said grodus phased through the door. which didnt happen, grodus just needed mario to open the door himself.

@@reserven5795 after you unlock the floor, dont you get blocked by the shadow sirens? I imagine while they are fighting you, grodus himself is using some kind of hover device to easily cheese the room and enter the end room while you have to solve all the puzzles to reach it.
They never got in doopliss disguised as frankly and lied to Mario saying that grodis got into the shadow palace when in reality then never got in and instead tricked Mario into opening the door
Its really not that hard to put two and two together like this y’all should try and think next time
