ryan scott Olsen hi thanks you for the video Awesome video
Thank you!
Awesome catches!
Thank you!
Great catches. Do you ever get over to Station 19 on the U campus ?
Thank you. I usually don't make it to 19's. Perhaps this year! :-)
Do you know what was with the bay doors for E7? Once they released it from the door opener system the doors should have opened. I know of other Fire Departments that have front doors like MFD Sta. 7 and there is a track on top. I do not remember a track at the bottom. I hope some one or a timer closed the other bays doors for security and do to the cold temps that day. Glad the unit was able to get out reasonably quickly.
I don't know, actually. I was there- and would've closed the bays. They, however did close by timer once E-7 departed.
Like how they tell the current temperature out side.
Yes, it's very nice. Thank you!
If only people would move out of the way anyways nice video buddy
I agree - I don't see it getting any better, though. Thank you.
Awesome catches! Why don't you video the SUVs?
Thank you. I wasn't aware C-3 was heading out with the Ladder.
Nice video, but why didn’t you turn around after the ladder? Once the ladder went by you should’ve turned around to get the 2nd 2 units instead of just filming the backs of them
For this particular video, that was the way I chose to shoot it. Thank you for your support.
Ryan Scott Olsen really, it’s your choice how you shoot your videos and I support whatever you choose, although that is not my style of filming, if you like it, that’s all that matters.
Seems like you were hanging out with the guys! :)
Indeed!
What are all the extra units in that station? Behind E7 is what?
Those are personal vehicles.
Man but I also love that horn on ladder 3
It sure is nice!!
Ryan Scott Olsen yes it is my friend
What happen to the door
I am not entirely sure.
Are they replacing those small weird looking Engines ? Or are they 4x4 wheel drive for the frequent snow conditions? Those are really ugly Engines but L-3 is a beautiful Tiller!!!!
The Freightliners? All of the Engines on the MFD are the same Freightliners.
Any reason why Minneapolis is using commercial pumpers?
M.F.D. and Rosenbauer had a contract for three Freightliner/Rosenbauer Pumpers to be built (every year) from 2011 to 2018. The last three rigs are arriving in the City now. They've had commercial pumpers for a very long time. They did purchase six Spartan/Rosenbauer Pumpers (in 2004) and three Pierce Arrow Pumpers between 2008-2009. Otherwise, everything has been commercial.
The cost factor---2.5 comm engines for 1 custom eng. These Rosebauer/freightliners are designed for the conditions unique to Mpls. Also , the Rosenbauer plant is abt 90 mins up I35 from Mpls. The Freightliner cab/chassis units are purchased for local dealers--another cost saving factor.Rosenbauer makes a Very High quality product and is a worldwide leader in fire apparatus design and manufacture.
Bloomington Mn just bought a tiller with a commercial tractor as well, its pretty unique
Nice camera work 🤦🏾♂️
