@@AbbeyYungâââ Abby can you please help me? You said in a video you thought the Dyson blow dryer made your hair look worse. Is there a blow dryer (other than the Re-whatever thatâs $1000 lol) that you recommend? My budget is $400. Please respond Iâll appreciate it so much.
Love you for being so transparent and open and your mental health đ Hoping you can get past the symptoms as smoothly as possible đđ»
thank you

Anyone else wondering how people go through so much stuff?! I feel like I hardly go through anything even without having new products to test all the timeđ€Łđ„Č
Thatâs also what I thought until one year I decided to keep all my beauty trash and by the end of the year I had a full bag of stuff. And Iâm one of those people who doesnât apply serums and creams every evening cause I work late and sometimes Im just too tired đ
YESS!!!! I literally think this all the time. I wear makeup EVERY DAY and it takes me like 6 months to go through one concealer!
Same! I think influencers use product very generously since most of its given to them and theyâre not paying for it like the average consumer. Which makes sense to me. Plus I donât think they actually use ALL of it. It would be impossible with the mounds of product they have.
Definitely. I have overstock on body products, and well⊠everything really. đ€Šââïž A couple years ago I started using body stuff very generously, and I have yet to make a dent in my stash. I use skincare generously too, but it still pokes up, and I donât feel like I buy that frequently. With free gifts with purchase, sometimes it just adds up. I canât imagine how much product popular influencers get.
And yes, I donât think they are truly 100% empty either.
Yes definitely...not sure how people even finish a lip gloss đ
I trust your judgement in general but I love seeing empties videos to see if your mind changes over time after using a product !
Withdrawal symptoms are the worst. Glad you're getting through it! â€
the worstttt
@AbbeyYung definitely been there. The discomfort is REAL
â@@AbbeyYungthank you so much for bringing that up. I went through awful withdrawals about two months ago. I couldn't even get out of bed and I'm so glad when people talk about it. It feels validating.
Can you please please do a yesStyle haul!! Also-I wonder if Loreal is testing new packaging to see if buyers gravitate to one other the otherâŠ.
Oh I am so so down for a yesStyle haul
@@AbbeyYung and a promo code would be so appreciated haha:))
So glad you're getting through the withdrawal symptoms Abbey!
It's hellish. đź
hellish is right đ
Talking about anxiety. I suggest you to buy a good quality punching bag. People underestimate the benefits of punching (using violence) but we need to let it out physically sometimes which we logically can't do in a civilized society. However, punching is extremely therapeutic and calming so it does help people who suffers from constant anxiety. Even psychologists are recommending it well at least mine that I had when I was a teen (31 now). My mom bought me one back then and installed in my room. It ended up she was also sometimes using it đ
I got to take a real kickboxing class when my son was a baby, we used bags for punching & kicking, learned proper moves, etc - it prob saved my mental health! Six months in, we got a new teacher & it became jazzercize with âairâ punches and kicks thrown in. I havenât found another ârealâ class, and the circuit boxing gym is not for me, but the baby is starting as a teacher in August and Iâve kept the gloves because that was such an incredible experience. Great exercise for the body but also for the mind! Wonderful way to release emotion & feel like a badass. â€
Great idea. I used to have one of those blow-up clowns that I'd punch when I needed to let out some frustration. Kept me from wanting to spank my kids or punch out my colleagues đ„ I also had a mini version on my desk at work đ
I suffer from extreme anxiety and panic attacks. I increase the dose of my anxiety medication. I got windrawal symptoms when started the first antidepressants I took but know take a different that works better for me. Love your videos đ
so glad you found one that works!! xx
I'm wondering if you can use too much bond repair? How many bond products are too much once your hair has reached health again? I use all that you use in rotation : Espres, K18, Redken acidic bonding, Dove Bond Strength, Loreal Ever Pure bond repair, Pureology Strength, Amika Kure...etc... I use them all except the Living Proof. I don't use K18 every time anymore but still, my question remains, can you overdo the bond repair products? And if so, what are the signs of overusing bond repair products? Thank you, truly. I have learned so much from your wealth of knowledge. My hair is soft, healthy and long. :)
I wonder the same! I appreciate anyone's input, as I find it rare that Abbey answers her viewer's questions. No shade whatsoever. Just an honest observation.
@@ceciliarodriguez5615this is true. I wish she was better at responding
@@ceciliarodriguez5615she has 1million subscribers she doesnât have time đ
she dyes her hair & uses direct heat so of course she needs constant bond repair
The Redken Acidic Bonding did eventually become too much for my hair.
I appreciate your honesty in every video!! I just love your channel! youâre amazingđ©·đ©·
awww thank you so much!
i love empties videos, especially yours đ«¶đœđ€
yay thank you for watching!
I purchased the Skin Smart mist earlier this year on your recommendation, and then didn't really use it because I just sort of forgot to. And then {spooky organ music} summer arrived. Oh my gosh I'm so thankful you rec'd it and that I had the foresight (sorta) to buy it because with all of outdoors here being like a big sweaty armpit, that mist has been super helpful in keeping my face from being one big zit. Thank you! Wishing you a survivable season and no more brain zaps.
Here's to healing
Iâm so glad you didnât quit cold turkey, Abbey! Those brain zapsâŠđđđ
the worst đ
Good to see you and I hope you are still feeling better đ. Love that puppy love.
My fav videos from you!â€
Thank you for another great video!! Especially when you're not feeling the best, hope you recover quickly!!!
thank you đ
â€ïžI LOVE your empties videosâŒïžâš
yay! đ
Your hair is so beautiful !
I love the 21-1 leave in too!
Oooh I love the Loreal frizz defy!! Good to know itâs not discontinued
thanks a lot for all what you're doing and sharing, especially for the product names and titles below!!!đ§Ą
So happy to see you again! Hope you will get better soon â€.
Abbey can you please review the bond-building repair hair oil serum from bumble and bumble?! I would really like to know your thoughts about it. đ
Youâre great. Love your videos!!
thank you so much đ
Nice job, Abbey!
I love an empties video! Please tell me where you got the blue headband! It's adorable â€
My fav hypochlorous acid Iâve been using and loving is the Hale Derma post procedure facial mist.
The beauty of Joseon eye cream is amazing
Definitely want to try the Amazon hypochlorous acid spray and anything from Prequel!
Love your brutal honesty, the comments about your tapering of medications cracked me up. I can sooooo relate, lol! Youâre a beauty by the way and hats off in the content you share, very objective and credible. Well done!
Yay, an Abbey video!! đâ€ïž Love these, really fun to see what youâve been using regularly - thank you for always promoting what you do actually use, the consistency is refreshing among influencers!! Wanted to mention that Iâve been following your hair routine for over a year, but very recently stopped using the LP triple bond repair in exchange for a pump or two of K18 on freshly washed damp hair. I know youâre not supposed to use K18 after conditioning, but my hair feels sooooooo much better/softer after this one change! Any thoughts?
Hope youâre well!! xo
Sorry to add another comment, but wondered if youâve tried the Epres shampoo/conditioner yet?? So curious, but wanted your opinion first before purchasing!
Watching this on the beach†I'm in heaven
could you please link the sunscreen (I don't see it in the description box?)? I exclusively use 2nd gen filters only sunscreens so def want to try it out!
Thank you for this video! It gives such good suggestions. Any update on the tubing mascara show down? Iâm very interested in hearing your thoughts on these.
So, I finally got the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Brrakout serum, and omg where has this been all my life?? I don't know why I didn't buy it sooner. I use several products you recommend in my skincare routine every day (Vanicream, Ordinary Copper Peptides, Timeless Vit C, Beauty of Joeson SPF) so its not like I dont trust your opinion. Anyway, thanks again for a great recommendation.
Also, going through med withdrawal is no joke. I'm sorry it made you feel so crappy. I hope you're better soon and happier and healthier than ever!
i would really love a review of the haruharu wonder black rice sunscreen! it's very whipped and thick but once you apply it it's as light as any of the gel cream sunscreens. Also the Numbuzin #1 sunscreen.
I just started using the EPRES and so far I love it. Thanks for introducing me to it.
Epres is amazing!! so glad you love too
Abbey can you please make a video on the best eye creams to treat bags/discoloration/etc? Iâve been struggling and need your advice! Thanks
I love a good empties video
So many empties mean that your *self care routine* is going well! đ„°
I loooove your hair color!
thank you sm!! xx
Do you cut the top off the sunscreen tubes? That is so smart!!
Thank you for sharing
what container did you put your empties in? I'm keeping all my empties too but they are just in a grocery bag, would love to see it better.
Thanks for. the heads up on the LâOrĂ©al conditioner. I bought that on your recommendation and love it so much. Iâd be livid if I thought it was discontinued. đ
Can I ask when you use the hypochlorous acid mist? I bought it based on your recommendation, but I havenât been using it because I donât know when to. Thanks!
Thank you for an empties video!! I love knowing your opinion on the product after using an entire bottle. I'm so interested in the Prequel brand, but I have enough product in my closet right now. Maybe by November sales......đ
Again, I love and appreciate all your hard work. Trying all these products can not be fabulous for your skin. The risk of irritation and sensitivity is high.
Would love a video of favorite products in each category both high end and drugstore and comparison to each other.
Have you tried the Heroin Mascara Remover? Made by Kissme, a J-beauty brand?? It is wonderful for waterproof mascara and eye liner!!
So glad you are feeling better!!!
Many blessings!!!
I will need to go see what the benefit of epres is and how to use it ? What makes it different from ogx
Did you refrigerate your prequel vit c? I've been using timeless for years and find it needs to be refrigerated to last longer. I am curious to try prequel.
Hi Abby, I would love your opinion on what is less damaging. Round brush with hair drier or hair drier then straightener. Assuming both are being done properly. I have fine thin colored hair that is prone to damage. Thanks
Do you use epres every wash? Thank you!!
The elf power grip primer is raved about for a reason too incase you really like the milk makeup one.. they work just as good if not sometimes slightly better depends on each individual
What is a good face wash for sensitive skin
Could you elaborate on the ouai body scrub? Why was it good ?
Hi Abbey , could you please tell us where the head band is from đâ„ïž
How much epres do you use per wash? :) or better, for how long does one epres bottle (the treatment added to water) last you?
Obviously not Abbey, but each Epres bottle (mixed with water in their newer spray bottle) lasts me for 2 washes - my hair is fine textured, but I have a lot of it and it falls between my shoulder blades in length. This amount of Epres âsoaksâ my hair, but doesnât leave it dripping, which is what the directions say (I think thatâs right?). Would love to know if I could use less, just always anxious I havenât used enough!! đ
@@brittanyfletcher434 my hair is just a little shorter than abbeys and I get two proper uses out of the bottle and one semi proper. I don't saturate it fully but I am more concentrated on using it on my ends and lengths and I started adding the ogx oil after 10 - 20 minutes and that has been an absolute game changer!
I once tried the whole bottle on my hair (since I had no idea in how to use it properly) but I am getting as close as the same results using only a third of the bottle :)
@josie4987 thank you for the reply, thatâs helpful! Iâll try using only a 1/3-ish when I next wash my hair, I definitely have always tended to overuse products đ
When do you use your copper peptide? I want to try them, but I use Tretinoin nightly and use a glycolic acid face wash so I am a little reluctant to try them.
I only trust you and Dr. Dray on CZcams. Thank you for your honestyâ€â€â€â€
WOW that's an honor thank you! đ
Beauty of joseon eye cream is the k-beauty one Iâve been trying!
Question: Is there a reason you use living proof each time you wash over other bond repair products? Also, it would be awesome if you did a video about how we can spot products that are called bond repair but really arenât.
Im excited for you to discover/review more Korean skin-haircare. Since they are 100xs better, and affordable compared to most of these. â€
Do you not think Apostrophe is enough to use on its own without having to splurge out on expensive skincare products? Like when you want to prevent anti aging in years to come. Would then using products for your skin type be enough to prevent all those from hap?
Omg yes I just got a bunch of stuff from YesStyle, got the Sana eye cream and a couple of others
What SPF do you use under a tinted SPF?
Do you have a discount code for epres??
Hey Abby can you review the blowout professor champĂș and conditioner?
Do u have any on complete vegan and clean products?
Abbey, I have a question for you. Is having glazed donut skin like Hailey Bieber says is it good? Also, are peptides good if you canât tolerate retinol and certain not tretinoin? If it is good for your skin how do you get that? Because itâs hard.
I just finished up my big Bum Bum cream too!
IDK if you did but do you have something to say about the new loreal mollecular repair set ? Is it a bond or something else ? is it nice ? thank you
Bakuchiol is a great retinol alternative for women who are pregnant as retinol causes birth defects or for people who cannot tolerate retinol. Thereâs actually quite a bit research from what Iâve seen showing itâs quite effects as retinol.
Agreed that bakuchiol is great but it is annoying that the name of the eye cream is misleading since it is called the retinol eye cream.
There is no evidence that over the counter retinol causes birth defects but it should be avoided. Please donât spread misinformation
Try the Anastasia mascara over the Lancome
Lash primer
Brain zaps đ I call them brain shocks but I like your description as well. You are so awesome to be so transparent there.
how does the prequel smell to you? I want to try it but have been seeing reviews that the smell is unbearable
Withdrawal blows but the other side is so much better.
Can you please please do a yesStyle haul!!!
Can you review fragrance free haircare products?
Hi Abby, Cetaphil has a great acne moisturizer.
Interesting that you use Living Proof after every shampoo. How often are you shampooing these days? I hope all goes well. đ
Do you have any recommendations for frizzy hair? My hair appears to be silky, but as soon as I leave the house it instantly goes frizzy xx
Humidity hair spray, a heat protectant hair mist,
@@chapplepeach29 thank you!
Abbey, could you test Olay products. One of my favourite products from them is Collagen and Peptide 24 serum not the cream and the body washes are really good too. To my opinion but I would like your opinion about the ingredients. I think the ingredients are good but I donât have as much knowledge as you.
Id love an olay serums review too đ€
Is there some EU alternative for the Skin Smart spray? Unfortunately I'm in Europe and can't buy this...
Love your hair soooo much my dream hair đâ€â€â€
thank you đđ

I always want everything you recommend but I have to pick 1 or 2 at a time I just got the k 18 and I have the living proof.
Regarding the prequel vitamin c- Iâve heard promising studies on ergothioneine topically and also internally( as a supplement)
Iâm going to try this vitamin c after I finish the timeless brand.
What about the L'OREAL PROFESSIONAL ABSOLUT REPAIR MOLECULAR.. Unless you talked about it somewhere and i missed it ?
Can you please review Sam Knight hair care?
Please try Shiseido premium mask itâs cheap and supposed to be good.
I've never used micellar water to take off makeup.I only use it as a last step after my double cleanse. my favorite is the simple brand period I get it at j max for 4 bucks.
Have you tested Drmtlgy's new Matte Universal sun screen?
Hey, has anyone used Ikoo paddle X brush? If yes, can you tell me how to clean it? ?
Is Apostrophe different/better than Curology? I use Curology and I get decent results, but maybe would get better with Apostrophe?
She has a video comparing all of them đ
Wow! Were ur anxiety meds Lexipro? Thats what Iâm on and yeah I heard the withdrawal is a beast if u go off of it.
I buy hypochlorus acid spray by the gallon and I just refill my mister bottle with it. Buying in bulk is the way to go
COSRX has peptide serum which has copper peptide in it and is much cheaper than the one you use.
The Apostrophe code only gave me 5 dollars off prescription. Nothing off consultation.
I keep the Skin Smart spray on hand as a "cleanser" for my teenage son that refuses to regularly wash his face. đ
Abbey, thank uuuuuuâ€
I will paste a comment i already did to other channel short video appeared suddenly about shmpoo barsđ, this comment i wrote today because of uâ€, u made me realize and discover the stupid lie that most of earth started to believe, until our hair got damaged : this is my comment đđ»
"B4 i was believing in bars and chemicals free shampoos, now i realised that the old shampoos are the healthy ones for hair for several reasons :
1. "healthy shampoos" cost campanies lots of millions than normal shampoo, to make researches, and this may involve animals cruelty
2. This may need additional ingredients consumptions
3. Many companies will appear to satisfy people, so many plastics and other materials to make containers
4.Not all ingredients may suit all people's scalp and hair, so more products must appear
5. We can see majority are suffering from breakafe and dandruff and frizz hair as we don't use sulfate and silicon, which they are not as we imagined they are harmful
Simply majority fell under such scamic information just to let other fool companies to appear to we buy more and more, it's not for earth and animals sake
Im done i knew the truth and enough messing with that game and my money and my hair"
Thank u dear Abbey, ur videos helped me đđđđđ
The effexor withdrawals hit like nothing else. I quit cold turkey bc I had a psychiatrist who wouldn't refill my prescription and it was one of the worst days of my life
I am in awe of you going cold turkey! I would love to get off Effexor (highest dosage) but I am too petrified to try If I miss 1 day and I feel so sick
Hi! Hope you donât mind me commenting, but I work in health care and also happen to take the highest dose of Effexor for MDD. Only wanted to mention that if you do come off it, taper slowly down on it with a provider, but I would ask why you want to? I understand when people want to come off antidepressant meds for situational depression or if theyâve only ever had 1 depressive episode, but for example, in my case, I have MDD, which is a chronic neurotransmitter dysregulation disorder, and Iâll basically always need to be on meds đ I also would always promote antidepressants over anyone relying on something like benzodiazepines. You know whatâs best for you, I just worry that many people think being on meds is inherently âbadâ, when sometimes, you just need them! Mental health disorders are really no different than, say, cardiovascular disorders, thereâs just unfortunately still a lot of public stigma đ
@@brittanyfletcher434 Thank you for commenting. I totally understand that there is a stigma and there shouldn't be. I also agree with everything that you said đ I just honestly don't know if I actually need to be on it or not. For me, it was basically one situation (15 yrs ago) I thought if I didn't tell myself to take a breath than I wouldn't and I would die. This lasted for days. I couldn't sleep because of the fear of not breathing. The ER Dr. diagnosed a panic attack and was put on Effexor . I have had 3 bouts of depression. 1 episode before Effexor and 2 bouts after. I do have a new provider that said if I want to try to come off she would work with me.. Who knows maybe I really do need them.
@@dawnroy8551 I'm not proud of it at all lol. It was an unfortunate circumstance that I had to go through would not recommend. It does I think give me a lot more empathy for people who are dealing with substance addiction. It isn't just that not being able to take that substance and have the perceived benefit from it that's hard. It's that getting off a lot of substances literally feels like you might die and everything in your body is desperately asking for you to keep taking that substance even if mentally you know the best thing for you is to no longer take that substance.
@@brittanyfletcher434 totally agree with you that there's this ridiculous stigma that being on meds is bad and not being on meds is always good and when in doubt it's always better to not be on meds. I'm bipolar ii and I've just accepted that pretty much the rest of my life I'm going to need to be on some medication for it if not multiple.
I do think though there are some legitimate reasons you might not want to be on a medication perpetually that aren't based in fear mongering. Inevitably when you're taking a medication anytime a problem arises there's going to be the question of whether that might be a side effect from that med. Or if you need a medication for some other problem there's this whole assessment that has to occur to see how it's going to interact with what you're already taking. Or if you're taking something with a particularly short half-life like Effexor It just kind of sucks to have to be so vigilant about making sure you're taking it every single day or your day is going to be a disaster.
So I don't disagree that there's this sort of widely accepted myth that meds are "bad" and not being on it is "good" But I also think there are legitimate inconveniences that come with being on a medication long-term that I wouldn't necessarily fault someone for seeing if they can get off of it if they feel like their symptoms are managed and maybe they've done the work with CBT to feel like they have a better grip on their symptoms even without meds.
