Morale of the story: Don't date a girl that is not similar to you. She lives on a completely different world and at a completely different level.She is a Star born to sing to the masses with various contract agreements such as no dating while you are just a struggling university student trying to be a puppy to her needs.You are both going to suffer from heartbreaks due to different commitments and the relationship is not really going to last as it is doomed from the start no matter how strong is the love.....
The moral is: if you find true love, don't waste your time, live the moment without fear. Nothing lasts forever.
Well yes and know. Won-Jun was ultimately a boring coward who chose safe boring life without any love instead taking the leap of faith, what love needs. Perhaps he and Doona would not have been able to last in the long run, but that he actually succeeded making Doona love love her, which at first seemed impossible and that Doona would have make everything to have it all. But even if that wouldn't have worked out Won-Jun also succeeded in botching the more suitable love for him, the girl next door (you know who I am talking about). So he had two women and he succeeded botching both relationships. What an arrogant idiot!
Anyways, on the positive side note, he still had the courage to love, even of it led to heartbreak. Love is rare so always plunge in it when you have the change, otherwise you gonna wake up tomorrowbeing 45+, regretting you never truly lived!
It's a semi happy ending...
They reconciled after 4 years while keeping their own lives intact.
WJ finished military, has an actual job now as a Civil Engineer, and is working in Japan. Doona went on a trip to Japan.
They secretly meet and date each other while overseas. It makes complete sense. It's not safe for them to date local anyway.
It's pretty realistic to me. There are several celebrities in Korea who date/married non-celebs. While it's true that it's not easy marrying with different "levels" but it's still possible.
@@Borink--- Yeah, ok too bad the ending had to be realistic, though. Just once I would have hoped for "madly in love" ending, because they looked so beautiful together. The train station scene was honestly so heart-breaking to watch, even if they later got back together, if only in behind the scenes. Because in a way it became arranged marriage - they could love each other, but not openly...
