Pycnonotus goiavier

Yellow-vented Bulbuls are the most common urban species of bulbul in Southeast Asia. Their name comes from the yellow patch of feathers on their [funny area I will not mention :) ]. They often forage around in parks and gardens here in Singapore, where you'll probably hear their distinctly 'bubbly' calls. Small lil guys.

Interestingly, nightingales are a different bird altogether (this bulbul doesn't even call at night lol). But it looks like the Persian root word where 'bulbul' came from probably referred to a nightingale
