I absolutely support your beginning chat! I love SW & even when things don't 100% gel with me, I still try to watch till the end & keep an open mind. The level of hyperbolic bull out there is ridiculous. Let it just run it's course & at the end we can decide for ourselves if it was good, bad or mediocre. Thanks guys ❤
Thank you! It’s surprising how many people there are every week saying this show, described as a mystery, doesn’t make sense as if we’re meant to already have all the answers. There are clearly a thousand things we’re not supposed to know yet, just let it play out!
Came here for the e4 reaction, but I also enjoyed watching/listening to you three guys discuss in depth the issues concerning the SW community. Don't be afraid to speak your mind. May all naysayers find peace within. Cheers to those who find joy in this series. We are all fragile lifeforms with limited time on this rock floating in this vast space. Thank you. It hurts seeing the comments and videos being thrown at this. I stopped and unfollowed many CZcamsrs, but found new reviewers and fascinating new fan channels that are ligit fun to watch! I love seeing Star Wars grow. And witches were in the Ewoks: Battle for Endor movie. And if you don't know what that is, don't throw hate.

A little fun fact, we do actually know what Oppo Rancisis sounds like. I believe he had one line of dialogue in The Clone Wars, and his voice is heard in a force-echo in Jedi Survivor
I understand the reason for Mae not wanting to continue her mission, but I think the way it was portrayed in the writing made it seem like a sudden switch rather than a gradual realisation that what she was doing was for nothing because Osha is alive. Also I agree that Kelnacca being killed off was a waste, especially doing it off screen.
Tbh, for this series you guys are one of the two channels I watch because most channels seem to dislike the show based on a complete misunderstanding of the storytelling. This is a show of perspectives, with each side having a skewed version of events; both not knowing the full truth. I could be wrong, but I genuinely think the hate for this show comes from a place of misunderstanding. Correct me if I’m wrong though.
Also yes, Star Wars Theory sucks haha. He’s arrogant af. Bro “just wants good stories” but shat on Andor for having bricks and the wrong type of screws (in a galaxy of infinite possibilities).
The last time Mae saw Osha, she wanted her dead. So why does her being alive change her motivation to kill the Jedi?
You could argue, that she only does what her master says, because he is her only acquaintance and that Osha being alive potentially changes that fact.
But that is not portrayed in the writing at all. Her motivation to kill the Jedi seems very intrinsic and based on deep rooted hatred and a need for revenge.
And yes episode 3 seems to be showing the events from Oshas pov, but it's still very flawed.
Oshas reason why she wants to leave the coven and why her view of the Jedi is very different from the rest of the coven is not explained at all, for example.
You learn basically nothing new. The only new information is that the twins were made with some kind of magic by witches, who probably use the dark side. The whole episode could have been condensed to a five minute flashback without missing any important detail. The same is true about episode 4. You get very little plot development, but also no meaningful character progression. Things just happen out of convenience and characters don't seem to be consistent. When you combine all of this with the lore breaking stuff, I can understand the hate.
We'll see more Kelnacca in flashbacks.

Actually it was Anisaya they showed dead on the ground. And Koril was the darker of the two that was more antagonistic towards the Jedi. Anisaya is their Yoda and Koril is their Mace.

Sorry for commenting so much today, but seriously I am glad you all took the time to address that hard topic at the beginning. I seriously had lost faith in people, and started wondering why isnt anyone addressing this. I'm so scared that voices of hate are louder than the voices of support, scaring off future projects.

Most of the negative reactions I’ve seen aren’t really about woke, but the script. Take ep2 to ep4. Mae goes to the third Jedi. Sol is forced to go to Coruscant (because they can’t do a meeting with holograms?). The meeting between Osha and Jecki implies they’ve been there for a few days. Yet both Mae and Sol arrive at the same time? While the end of EP2 implies Mae and Qimir go there right away.
“Master Ki-Adi-Mundi” is listed in the Guest Staring credits. Played by Derek Arnold.
Saddest thing is that all Star Wars Theory ever does now is complain. Should change his name to Star Wars Complaints… He speaks about how the prequel haters are “bullies”, but he’s doing the exact same thing with The Acolyte and recent Star Wars shows
There have been so many instances where that guy has shown his true colors over the last several years. He is not to be on the nose, but literally turning to the dark side. He’s becoming what the worst parts of CZcams have become. In his case because of the fact that his views have demonstrably decreased recently, he has to find a way to get them back up. In doing so he’s literally become just another grifter. One of the more common things that he complains about nowadays is that he says “we just want good stories” but then goes and complains about Andor. Like dude is so stuck up his own ass about what he wants Star Wars to be.

@@user-pv2sl2nq2d I can tell you right now through what I watch and what I see on the Internet I know who the ones are that are fake. The only people who are out of touch, are the ones who have sold their soul to the CZcams algorithm, which has prioritized them to make certain kinds of videos and content that will financially benefit them, but not actually make them speak the truth about how they actually feel. There is a lot of fake on CZcams these days and this is why someone like me keeps a circle small with what kind of creators he follows. People certainly need to wake up, and this is coming from the point of view of thinking that the acolyte is decently underwhelming. It is by no means a good show, but it also by no means a bad one. I’ve seen enough on the Internet recently to make my mind up on that and not let my opinion be influenced by someone else.
If it stinks like shite and looks like shite, who the hell are you to claim it isn't shite? In other words, it is our duty as human thinking beings to speak out if something is good or something is bad. >> So does Star Wars Theory if I may remind you IF you even follow him and watch his content. Come on guys, one simple argument annihilates all your hot air babble: The frickin SAME fans gave Ahsoka even 60+%, Mando 80+%, and so on. Even House of the Dragon, with another strong female lead, with lots and lots of diversity and LGBT cast got 80+%, more or less from the same demographic of fans!
...Or do you really believe that miraculously, the Acolyte is watched by completely different people? So please, apply some critical thinking and ask yourself: how did the 14% come to be? The answer is easier than you might think: Racism and toxicity is not even needed to review bomb this dumpster fire because simply, The Acolyte is a bad show, badly written, badly executed, and certainly badly directed. And even if we forget about all the lore breaking aspects, the aforementioned is already enough to justify that the fans are upset about this... and I don't even go into the financial part here, because what?, 180 millions for a walk in the forest? OMG, you just can't invent this.

I’m 99.9% sure, Mae “changed her mind” when she realized that Qimir was playing her. She states that the final test is something you learn yourself. Qimir appears to be more invested in her mission than he should. And now that Osha is alive, she knows whatever she’s been led to believe is a lie.
Exactly! I think she was "testing" him the whole way & only kept up the pretense until they where close enough for her to find him alone. There were some strange editing choices in this ep, but that ending was 10/10! Cannot wait for next week

I think RT should only count reviews toward audience scores if the user has reviewed a minimum (20 or even 50) of shows/series.
Exactly, his hubris is what's great about Ki-Adi-Mundi being in this series. I personally don't want to see a bunch of the Jedi we are already familiar with.
