IMO: There's a huge difference between the whole 'give me money for a bike' and your community coming together to get you the Magna back without your knowledge. I've been around for a little while. The passion is what drove your community to come together.

About the thing about pricing.. it's the same here, everything in the Netherlands became so much more expensive (like 20-30%) but salary went up by 2,5-5%.

With the price of rent on commercial space these days you can almost buy a space cheaper. Yeah you would be taking on debt but at least your monthly payments are going towards something thats yours and you can sell later. If you can find a building w space for 2 shops you can get a tenant and lower your monthly payment. Im in SC but theres def some deals out there as long as your not looking for a spot on main street.
