Hi Jessica...loved the information you share super helpful. I bought your book Save the Cat! Writes a Novel. I love the book and its helping me so much for I am a new writer. Your book is all you need to help anyone write a great novel. The book is easy to read. The breakdown of the material is very understanding. I started writing 2 years ago...This year I saw someone talk about your book and so I purchased it. I was thrilled when I discovered I had been writing unknowing the beats you described in Act One - Three. I now had a map to guide my stoytelling. There was so much I didnt know but do now since I read your book. I would love for you to sign my copy one day. Best Wishes!

Thanks so much! I'm glad they are helpful! One of Harry’s biggest flaws in the first book is confidence. He’s not yet confident as a wizard (and that’s the point of the first book, to bring him into the Wizarding world and guide him closer to his destiny as the “Boy who lived.”) That’s why every step of the way, Rowling throws challenges at him that force him to confront this flaw and build his confidence. 😊

What can happen to your characters, or what has happened in their past to lead to a conflict? I'll bet there's something there with potential for a conflict. You can do this! Good luck with your writing!
