Communication is so key. Excellent job Dr. Ferguson! We need more surgeons like you!
Thank you for the detailed explanation of the preparation for the anterior approach of a hip replacement. As a patient to go under this procedure Aug 10, 2020 and as a retired surgical scrub tech, I have a need to understood how this table worked and feel less stress knowing my surgeon uses this table with the anterior approach. Great tutorial!
By far, best tutorial for OSI Hana table to date (many thanks for this refresher)
Thanks for the presentation. Having my surgery on December 20, 2022. I mow know what’s going to be going on.
Wow excellent video thanks a million from a circulator nurse
Outstanding video.
Tania, you are awesome!! SO proud of you!
Excellent video and presentation 😊
Left hip replacement 10/26/2022 Just let me tell ya. Great table. However please let your patience know all of their 8 + thigh muscles will be sprained, bruised and swollen. So you have that secondary severe pain to deal with! Thank you
Feeling the burn after surgery 3/1/23. Now I understand why I feel sprained, bruised, and swollen 3rd day Post Op.I appreciate the great surgical and nursing care, but now my recovery is up to me and how faithfully I do my PT The recovery period is not for sissies either!
Well explained.
Is there a Part 2 for this video?
Had my L hip replaced 10/26/20 and developed a femoral nerve leg palsy. Went upstairs for inpatient therapy, for 2 weeks. Went home with a walker and less then 10 hours home my knee buckled and I broke my L ankle, twisted my knee and hip, also, received a concussion. Went to Trauma for a week and then again upstairs for inpatient rehab, went home on 11/24/20. I am recovering slowly and still very numb however I can know contract my quads. The numbness extends from my groin down through my foot more medially than laterally. This has been a traumatizing experience, on the positive side my hip did not dislocate and my arthritic pain is gone.
How’s the numbness now? Are you getting close to full strength in your quad? I’m a PT and getting my hip replacement done (anterior) next week.
Question: we had a patient's leg be in the red zone after the bar was fully on the ground? My preceptor did something so the leg wasn’t in the red zone when we pulled the leg up. How do you get the bar out of the red zone then? (I'm new to using this table)
Feel Its heavy without a docking trolley its time consuming.

I have right hip replacement (anterior) scheduled for July 14th 2020. My pre-surgery appointment is July 2nd but can someone tell me if I will be anesthetized BEFORE they take me into the operating room? I've seen this video, I really don't want to see the room (my doctor uses JointPoint software) or that table while awake...
