  • Jesus said that many people would call him “Lord” on the last day and yet not truly be his disciple. Is it possible to claim to be a Christian and not truly be saved? According to Jesus, the answer is yes. In this message from Matthew 4:18-22, David Platt unpacks the significance of what Jesus means when he says to people, “Follow me.” Biblical discipleship is more than merely saying a prayer or making a decision, though it may involve those things. Biblical discipleship means surrendering your life to Christ’s lordship, recognizing the identity of the One who invites us to follow him. He is Savior, Lord, King, and Messiah-truly God and truly man. There is nothing greater than having a relationship with God through his Son, Jesus Christ.

Look into his church and the documentary being made. I don’t want to tell you this because I liked his stuff for a bit, but after seeing some interviews about church members who are in the documentary it’s pretty sad. I only say this to you in hopes we both find the right people to follow in regards to hearing God’s message. If you need the link for proof I can find it.

Jesus is no more than a cult of personality in the church. This is why no one is made whole and continues to flounder in the sea of despair. How dispicible and tragic.

Does the Biblical Discipleship cover the "Spirit of truth's Discipleship" mentioned by Jesus in John 16:12-13?
John 16:12-13 (KJV) I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.
I have enjoyed the Spirit of Truth's Discipleship, the close personal relationship with Jesus Christ my King.

The first sentence in your notes is wrong. "Jesus said that many people would call him “Lord” on the last day and yet not truly know him." That's not what your BIBLE says. It says that they would call Lord, Lord and HE would not know THEM because they had not kept the commandments. They were "LAW-less." That includes Christians since you say it doesn't apply to you.
