Slice potatoes thinly and coat in olive oil. Then rub on spices coating all sides. Place in slightly greased baking dish or foil pack. Your such a find hope you know that
That Sasquatch scared the 💩out of me!!! 😂
Hi there ALONE ❤ I made it back for a video at last 😂👋👋👋🇦🇺🤗 still not out of the woods as I'm in the middle of packing up house as I have to move. Sheesh. I'll send an email explaining abd catching up in the next 2-3 weeks when i find time.
This was a delightful way to start my day 8.30am Sat 23 Mar '24❤ Thankyou for your resilience and good natured humour that sustains you in living your best life in your beautiful Alaska. I remember living like you are doing back in 1955 as that was LIFE for most farmers back then in the Sth Island of NZ😅. There were 9 of us , 7 kids. Dad made a clothes drying rack likr yours that was on a pulley in the kitchen wgere the coal/wood range was. The kitchen was tiny with table for eating at andxas there ws no bench space i assume mother used the table for food prep. We also had the old mangle or wringer as we called it. There was an old corrugated shed that had a free standing old bath in one side with cold water only to it, and on the side of the divide was the "laundry" ,with an old copper that was heated by fire that would heat water for washing abd wgen needed to disinfect sheests toweks etc the fire would be stoked to brong water to boing and whatever needed disinfecting was placed in the boiling water directly in the copper. Every thing went onto the outside clothes line first ( weather permitting) and then into the kitchen to be finished off or aired. So much more work back in those days to do EVERY job. NO trips to the shops in those days plus we didnt have a car ,only the big farm truck which was a cab with a long wooden deck behind it you could load a tractor on the back of it. As kids we'd sit on it up against the back of the cab and get splinters in our bums 😂😂😂Can laugh at it now 70 yrs down the track!!! Imagine such practices nowdays .😂😂😂 and yet we all survived it. Parents lived til their 70s and 80s and all 7 kids are in their 60s and 70s now. "Its a great life if you dont weaken" was a favourite saying of Mothers. LOL
Til next time my lovely, stay strong in the Lord and the power of His might. May He keep watch over you, protect & bless you as you follow His will for your life. 🇦🇺🤗🙏💞👍👌✌️👏🤣✝️🇺🇸
so glad you installed those gas struts. I knew they'd make a huge difference!
Cardboard is great for all sorts ! Insulating a pet kennel, a emergency door mat, Paint tin spillage mat or in your truck as protection while carrying all sorts . an seat on a cold step when having a quick coffee😁. Just flatten the boxes and store neatly after the garden mulch use , Enjoyed your video , keep up the good work . Great progress 💫😊
We have not gone through as much wood either. Here in MN in our part of it, we only have had 9 inches of snow this winter. Apparently we are going to get nailed on Sunday and that's okay we need to precipitation. You keep safe and as always good blessings.
What a show! Airing your dirty laundry, Nosey hairy bearded guy (neighbor?), and daily chores. Lot's of creativity went in to the making of this one! Enjoyed it.
Wow, I can see it would be easy to lose your mind in a place like that. I’m glad that I’m not that far out. YIKES!!!
So MUCH work!!😞
Your sense of humor is delightfully twisted! I love it!
Another great video, the effort you put into it really showed. Thanks for sharing the innovations, space and time saving ideas you have come up with. You really are making your cabin homey.
Loved this one. I love to watch you do your daily things.
Yours is my favorite channel.
The mad scientist beginning was hilarious. Making you a man, huh? LOL Someone to help with the chores? He'll be more trouble than he's worth!😉
Yes, the peace and quiet is wonderful. I envy you. The scenery is priceless.
Thanks, Alone, so much.
Loved every minute of it my dear! You have a sharp mind and a rapier wit!! ❤
I would love too live like that!!! Having to put up with most people nowadays is becoming unbearable!
Kool life you have. I used to do all the things you do on an Island in SE Alaska.
Alone...since it's almost time for you to start getting packages, maybe add to the next video some things you can use or might want from the lower 48. Love this video. You are a pioneer woman of the first order and there's always so much to learn watching you!!
ACK! Love this friend, but WHOOP, you really have to put a warning in the beginning about the flashing lights, some of us can't handle that medically!!!!
Yes some people can have seizures
I have to look away…can’t handle it. But great video anyway ✌️👍
True!!!🚩
Alone. My first visit with you. Your channel speaks to me & who I am. Enjoyed you & your video very much. So good!😮
Love your videos and I completely understand your chosen way of life. You seem as beautiful on the inside as you are the outside. Kudos to you and your way of life!
Gosh, I just love your mental state. I want to move in! lol. I too am dreaming of moving to Alaska, in fact hubby &I just got back from Alaska last week, fell more in love with it! I find your videos of cost of living, unexpected costs, etc super duper helpful! Keep your positive attitude, it’s so delightful and I feel I can relate to you on so many levels!
This has a bit of……From the Mind of McConnell..in the intro…Love it…
I love to listen to the silence. I think it is such a beautiful sound. ❤🎉❤
I really enjoy your videos. It just seems that you’re so real. N Per natural not some made up video. I was worried because you haven’t posted for a while. I’m not into live streams. I truly like your videos. Please keep them come as often as you can. Thank you. Take care stay safe and God bless.
That Sasquatch was waiting to warm his toes... funny. 😊
Supurb video of highest quality..thanking you kindly!!!!😊❤😊
Hi Alone! It's always a great day when you upload a video and we get to see what you have been up to! Great idea to hang your laundry over your freezers. Your dinner looked delicious! As always you make us laugh. Another great video! See you on the next one!
Hi Alone. The beginning segment was very funny! Thanks for a entertaining and informative video. Take care, and hugs for Kenai 🤗
Hey, I love your channel. I laugh and learn, you're funny. I just found you today. The 1st video I saw, you talked of how you used to say, I'm moving to Alaska...". Well, that reminded me of myself. I'm too old to start from scratch now; but I still would like to visit Alaska and prospect for gold nuggets someday. I've watched others start there own offgrid channels and grow into CZcams Stars, I hope you do too. You're strong and I'll have to keep watching because I haven't learned your name yet. Have a great day tomorrow. Doug
Another good video coming from you. The scenery was just beautiful and the beginning of the video had humor. The meal looks good.
Love the outtakes. They're so funny!! I loved the whole video!! I enjoy seeing all the progress you are doing to the inside of your log cabin. I absolutely love your log cabin!! 🤗🤗Hugs to sweet Kenai and you. Take care and God Bless
You are very unique and I appreciate that you have chosen to share a bit of your life with us.
Maybe use some of the cardboard to line the back of your truck? It could potentially absorb any water spillage, depending on how much you use.
Your hair is really growing! Getting long again.
BRAVO , ANCHOR !!!! Great video. Looks like Alaska had a meltdown !
Oh my
Gosh. I love the intro. Lol 😂
Alaska is as near to Heaven as we can get here on Earth. (My son and his family live in Wasilla - can’t wait to join them when I retire in a couple of years).
Hello Alone 😊. This is one of my favorite videos of yours in recent months. So full of information on chores and daily life. It is amazing how much work you have to do there living alone with no one to help with the tasks that need to be done. Also, when I think back to the beginning of your videos it is amazing how much progress you have made inside the cabin! You are an amazing woman and I appreciate you sharing all you do with us! Take care! 😊❤️
To make my house more secure I made all my outside doors open the opposite way so they can't be kicked in once a dead bolts are locked it's very secure and that's not Liked here in BC because if a fireman tries to get into your house it's really hard because they can't kick in the door but I prefer it that way
I raised 4 kids off the grid in the grid so I know ❤ wish I was there proud of you and anyone who does this
Alone i got 30" of snow last week, wed nite to sat. morning , then a couple more inches saturday and sunday. Today is friday so a week later and still hav a foot or so on the ground!!!!!
How you were doing all of that work in the cold with bare hands and no gloves just astounds me! You are a tough cookie!
Very Strong!!!
Okay...you freaked me out when you were loading the trash burner as I saw what I thought was a moose at first glance. It was only Big foot. He gets a pass.
I have really enjoyed seeing how you live. I am 62 we are moving to remote country to retire. We have had an off grid little cabin that we use for a get away. It’s a lot of work to live off grid. You do a wonderful job. ❤❤
I really like your clothesline idea! Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
I absolutely loved the intro. The rest of the video was fun as well, but the beginning was a great hook.
Nice scenery t y so much
Awesome video Alone! Your videos get better and better! 😂
So tranquil and beautiful. I'm learning so much from your videos. How to be self-sufficient. Thank you for the time you put in these.
You are truly a creative!
You are awesome! Hello from 🇨🇦
Driving in and out of your cabin area is so beautiful.I love the scenic views!!❤
So nice to see you. I think of you so often. Since seeing your neck knife, I have been talking about them. So James bought me one for Christmas, it’s a little different than yours but equally as handy. Every time I see it I think of you. Great video 🌷🇨🇦
The music, the blue mechanic suit..reminds me of Mike Myers
I raised 4 kids off the grid in the grid so I know ❤
You are so funny - just love your videos
These are my favorite videos. I love your projects you get done. Ty Alone.
I could visualize a moveable ramp with a small wheeled dolly that could be pulled into the front door instead of having to lift everything all the time.
I find ym Alexa most useful for timers and TuneIn radio listening.
Thank you so much I just love to watch your videos. I really hope someday to take in some of that beautiful country
P.S. Hilarious "Alaska" Alexa!
Love the radio. your humor is terrific. Never a dull moment.🐒💼👍like and subscribe.
Use a spray bottle with water and vinegar to clean your dishes to save on water.
Water catchment would be top on my list. At my cabin i catch rain water and its like having a well. Works about the same. Easy to do. Nice video!
I was thinking that - Doug and Stacey - another podcast use rain catchment for their entire farm
Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful week.
Hello Alone.Enjoyed your longer video. We had a very mild winter here also.Stay safe.
Best opening segment EVER! You are awesome,Alone!👍🙏😁
Those are beautiful mountains.

Great video Alone! You do keep busy! I line dry my laundry above my washing machine. I use clothes pins......habit l guess. Outside it was necessary bc of the winds....
Yummy dinner....Have a blessed weekend.
Love the video you mad scientist!! 💗☺️
This video made me miss Alaska even more.
Love the way you live. I grew up with a mother who loved old fashion ways as well. Homemade everything from meals to soap and shampoo. Your energy and positive nature is wonderful. Have an amazing week.

How WONDERFUL to catch up with you my friend! This was a particularly creative, fun and well edited video! Don't you just love days like this...when you can sit back for 5 minutes and bask in the glow of chores DONE and loose ends tied up! Big hugs, Alone!!❤
Very good i love Alaska i can't wait to go back
Great vid. The opening was most creative
Good video
That was great 👍
Great video love it 👍 ♥️
Haha love it hang in there we still have cool weather here in Louisiana but also hot days are coming spring is soon 👍👍
Could be part of a movie with music and background.
Love the life style. The solitude is nice but do need some socializing sometime. Just not too much i get it. You have enough activites to keep ya busy so dont worry about cabin fever. You need a good snow mobile to put around the camp with on good day. Just not too far away. The quietness is was deafening . You have a creative talent that is uplifting along with thhat sense of humour. Great video young lady it was cool& refreshing. Be safe & content .
I had forgotten how much trouble the water totes are. My son and his wife lived off grid for 19 months on their 14 acres. Before he put his well in he would fill untold amount of totes here and take them to his property. Salute to you, that is a real pain to have to do over and over with no end in sight. I retired 3 years ago and am working on something everyday. Now that I found your channel, I can watch one of your videos and feel like my day is easy, compared to the chores you do daily just to get by. We are in rural South Carolina, but what a cake walk when I see all the tasks you have. Thank you for sharing these great videos. Respectfully, Crusty Kirk
Good hard working woman is hard to find these days I live in west Virginia
Girl where are the girdles, slips & bras at on the clothesline 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
❤❤❤
You don’t disinfect the water containers?
