I use to think you have to have a slow fall rate to catch Crappie- you definitely get it down right in front of their face🎣👍🏼
I like to get it to them quickly, but sometimes you need to go with a slower rate of fall or downsized jigheads and baits. Some days they hit anything, and you feel like a genius, other days, not so good!! TIGHT LINES!!

do you like the corded pedal, im thinking to get one for a new terrova i installed on one of my boats. great video as alwys alsso!
Hey, the Corded pedal is better than nothing, but I do miss the cable steering. That is one nice thing about the Ultrex. The Terrova with spot lock is great on days where wind is blowing more than 10 mph, but the corded pedal is not as easy to use as the cable drive. But I still like having the foot pedal on my Terrova, even though it is not as easy as the cable drive. Hope that helps. TIGHT LINES!!
thank you, ive had an ultrex on my bass boat for 4 years, but recently bought a pontoon boat and chose a Terrova, and was thinking the wired pedal may be a good upgrade, that hand remote at my age(70) can be challenging!

I’ve watched several of your videos, they’re great! I have a question, I’ve seen you fish around structures and I can do that also.
The question I have however is how do you choose a place to fish when there’s no structure? Like do you just look for bait and fish around that or how do you break down the lake?
Hey, thanks for watching!! I'm looking for deeper water in the winter. Hopefully, next to some structure like a creek channel, ditch, or brush, with SideScan. I am always looking for shad. Once I start using LiveScope, I keep moving with my forward range out to 60-80 feet. I look for the roaming, suspended fish, or schools of crappie. If I have to, I will fish for crappie in brush, but it is my least favorite way to fish. I hope that helps!! TIGHT LINES!!

Hey, first, thanks for watching and the comment! I usually start in deeper water this time of year. Usually near structure. I put my forward range out to 60 - 75 feet and start scanning around. Not sure if that answered your question? TIGHT LINES!! I appreciate you.
What length of rod do you use for crappie fishing?
Hey, I use 8, 10, and 12 ft rods. Mostly the 10 ft. I like the 8 foot rod if I am casting to fish 30 or more feet away. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!!
Have you ever had your screen go half black while using your livescope?
Sometimes when it first starts up, but other than that, I have not had any problems. I upload all the software updates as soon as they come up. I hope you can figure it out, those kind of problems are beyond frustrating!!
