Wise minds think alike!! I always put a dash of GG4 in my solution . And a dash of Ecover. To keep my water hot I use a picnic hamper, not a bucket. The hamper is rectangle and has a tight fitting lid. Before I started using it I tested it out. I put boiling hot water in it and left it for 8 hrs out in the garden. It was - 5c. The water was still hot !!

Big fan of GG4. Use it by itself in the bucket. For bad first cleans or smokers I add a dash of Ubix 2000. GG solar is good for panels if you do any.

Agreed! The moreman squeeze is pretty good, but it was hard to use on big windows on the summer.
Expensive but the bottle is built to be reused which is good.
GC4 in the water aswell is a great tip. I’ll definitely be needing that next summer :)

i've never tried GG4 but it sounds quite good. Personally think the bottle is the best part of the Moerman Squeeze. i just keep the bottle and fill it with fairy Platinum.

If you want a good degreaser for smokers houses and bad kitchen windows etc, use ub10 from clover in a spray bottle, give the glass and frames a quick spray then clean as normal. The amount you actually need to use makes it very cheap, it's biodegradable and will save a lot of time and effort.

Hi mac. Use to love the moerman. And decided to find something similar or better went through dozens of different solutions and found that home bargains sold a specific 500ml summer rose ( exactly same smell as moerman) orchard and bloom collection. Selling for about 87p. It’s exactly the same as the moerman solution. BUT didn’t dry out for me in the summer. Really tackled the dirt well. For that price give it a try. I now fill my old moerman bottles up with the stuff. Would never by the squeeze again because of it.

I found the same with the moerman bottle. Some cleaners really like it. I think the solution is good. I put the soap in a empty small Dawn bottle. It seems to control how much I put on my applicator. It just takes a small amount. I found that mixing 50/50 or 1 to 1, gg4 and Unger Easy Glide. I add about 3 drops on my wet applicator and i find that it gives the right amount of glide and cleaning power for my traditional work.as always great videos Ashley.. hope this comment helps someone.

    Go to b&q
They sell indoor window cleaning solution but £3.75 for a bottle but read the ingredients and it is the same and same company as squeegee off but branded differently.
I put a squirt in the bucket and a bit of fairy and job done.
Half the price but same stuff and even says on the bottle can be used outside also.
H&g it is but they are the same company as squeegee off.

I tried GG4 when I first started out but didn’t like it and quickly settled on Ecover which I’ve used ever since. I also like that it’s plant based and good for the environment, and my customers like it when I tell them I’m looking after there garden by using environmentally friendly detergent.

i used GG4 and GG3 from last year.. well.. nothing compare.. keep in mind science. GG3, 4 have wetting improve which mean easy dilute dirty in liquide... wetting a'd emulsifier are 2 strong ability for cleaning surface. not mu h sud? ok.. but bubble sometime can miss some area to pick up dirt... and i dont contest washing up are not clean good but i say.. are hardly rinse, which affect detaili g and postcleaning.... even i have free wash soap i dont use... GG3, 4 and sometime i put Unger Easy glide.. works better for me with Power Pivot Wagtail... 2. DONT use to much GG4.. owner say to keep original dilution, to much mean to much degreaser, less glide.. GG4 have degrease effect which GG3 no.. only for kitchen, food area, smoke use Fairy or other soap.. in restuse GG4.. at right dilution not aprox and works... remeber.. wetting and emulsifier count.. along rinse easly from softening

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  Před 5 lety

Tom Navarro I start with hot water but that’s it, when it gets cold it’s cold. Occasionally a customer might allow us to refill with hot but generally we will top up with cold from an outside tap.💦😃👍🏼

    • @aemackintosh

I only ever use glass gleam 4 in a bucket of pure water, and would never ever use dish soap, and defo not on the washer, soap leaves a thin film on the window and a sure way to get rainbows.
