That Angeball effect isn't just on the pitch. It is the backroom as well. What is often overlooked in Ange's career is how he brought in, at the time, 'no name' players unknown to the fanbase, but ended up being absolute steals because of his knowledge and scouting staff. He did this all the way back when he was in Australia and most famously, before at Celtic, bringing in Japanese players, which the fanbase doubted could adjust but became fan favourites. There is a reason why Mitoma was scouted out of 'nowhere' by Brighton and how, no matter what team you support, you knowledge and respect their scouting record. Bet very few fans here knew of Vicario coming in for example. And so far, actually playing Timo Werner positionally correctly to his strengths and it looks like, the absolute bargain there too and I will be unsurprised if Timo gets bought at the end of the loan for next to nothing.
I understand the loan for Timo, my worry is the board will agree to sign him on a permanent basis in the summer. We already have players of his quality, actually better. To move in the right direction, we must buy better calibre
I agree with all you say, but have some minor things to add: Angeball effect is indeed off the pitch too, but while Ange has helped, it was in progress before he came in too - its been going in a good direction since Paratici was brought in. Ange is amazing, but he's not the only great thing at spurs right now, and that's a good thing for the club.
2) The comment you made about Anges scouting staff - interesting fact; Ange doesnt really have his own staff. He makes it a point to work with the club's resources wherever he is. Sure, he has contacts and knowledge in Australasia FOR SURE, I agree with you on that point. I'm merely pedantically taking issue with the word 'staff' 😅 - TLDR, Ange is amazing, but the club started the "Angeball process" before he came in, and it's good. It means even if/when Ange leaves, the process should continue 💪
You are right. Issue is unless we buy a few more star players we arent beating city to a league title.

Very diplomatic, yet we have to agree that Johnson is a squad player at best and little chance of him improving further. Timo, also a squad player and Levy will be tempted to buy him permanently as he is cheap. To progress into the top 2, we must buy some first teamers. This will enable us to at least have a serious chance at winning a domestic trophy. This January window was poor, but I predicted this. A CB and a youngster in the CM. We got Timo. Another Danjuma.
@@nickbrown1932 " this January window was poor" Please advise the PL clubs which had a superior window. I tend to think the majority of the players we have signed in the last 18 months are first teamers. I must admit I am a little frustrated with BJ. He rarely beats a full back except with pace and loses too many 50/50s....but he may improve.

@stephen31 , the impatience of the fans is well noted. However, Levy has had a long term plan in his head regardless of the ire from the fans! The stadium is one such plan and has been in the making for years and the financial aspect of the club has been the strength behind it! Everything that has been planned by Levy is starting to come to fruition! He has done well despite the antics on the pitch! The fans should stop berating him and take stock to what he has done for the club and I suspect exciting days ahead! COYS!
@@noelle3551 all the infrastructure has done is enrich the owners feom 100m to 4 Billion of the backs of the club and fans money.. the stadium does nothing for me. Income from the PL has risen 20 fold since Arsenal built there atadium.. its not rocket science to build a stadium.. just loads of head scratching because of rulings like planning . Even then you pay for someone else to deal with it . We pay the most for tickets our owners are paid the most.. we should have more than one trophy under Levy. Saying that.. its football decisions that had fans singing Levy Out.. wasn't about infrastructure..
@@noelle3551 To add . If Levy cared about the football side right now he should sell.. 25% to some investor for a Billion.. pay of the 600m stadium debt he put on fans to pay . Then spend 400m on players in the summer window.. how much profit does Levy want ahould he sell surely 3Billion profit is enough!!. Does he realise investing the squad to cities standard will mean our value rises like cities has in Deloitte tables.. so he would probably recoup the billion loss anyway with winning trophies. He wants every drop of profit though.

What does a technical director do?
They look after the 'football side' of the clubs backroom, like player recruiting, development planning, and guys like performance analysts, coach development etc.

Eight midfielders for three positions, ok Hojberg goes in the summer, possibly Skipp and Lo Chelso may go. Where does Gallagher fit in, his best position is a box 2 box 8, same as Lucas Sarr and Bentancur. Lucas and Bentancur can play deep but are better further forward. I like the look of Gallagher but if above scenario happens surely we need a deep 6 rather than another box 2 box 8?
I trust in Ange but these things keep me awake at night, well it confuses me anyway and that’s not difficult 😮

They literally changed more than half of the squad, look at the squad this season and the previous ones.
It takes time the club was in a mess at the end of last season if we attain European football next season that would be an achievement in itself.

No chance they will all be working together, why would you want to restrict ourselves? Lange has great links in Scandinavia as well as Europe so he’s a very good person to have at his he club.
@@stannykush1399 and the don's links seemingly only in italy. So, when the italians refuse to sell, we'll have Lange. Besides it's written in his name to work with Ange
5/10 window - summer needs to be a 9/10 Spurs need to buy at least a couple of top top quality players to compete at highest level - that's presumably what the directors want?
See my post - Ange doesn't do 'big players' for the sake of it - they MUST buy into and suit the Angeball system. In Ange we trust.
