Best thing about the new ATST is that my local game store sold me the old ATST at a heavy discount since almost everyone was buying the new one.

Looks like a really nice kit. Not sure about the sculpted base though, I would've prefered a plain one so you can theme it to your army
Can still easily theme this one too!
Seems AMG no longer do the old faction coloured bases anymore and just include generic grey bases. Makes sense for this one since it can be used across 2 different factions.
I do love the AT-ST, I have been considering getting a 3rd one as well

I especially like the figurines, I bought the at-st from darfire to have the figurines and especially that it also comes with the interior
I was disapointed in the lack of motion from AMG and no Marquand card.
That being said it is a fantastic model and more detailed than Bandai model.
The old AT-ST came part assembled (the head) and you just built the rest, it came in bags, mine came with the inner leg parts missing, so i had to borrow a mates to make a recast of those parts off his.
An interesting additon to Rebels. Im finally getting into rebels, but it may take a while before I can field Bright Tree. Looking forward to it though.
Just magnetise the top-mount for the cabine, so it can turn and stick well

I like the new model. The base is strange, especially since it says AMG on the bottom. Many people guessed that they were getting rid stock of old premium bases, but then why the AMG? Maybe they are doing reprints of the premium bases?
I can't wait to get this. Just hope they errata eventually to make this a regular rebel also, not just bright tree.
I mean just because you're running bright tree village doesn't mean you have to bring Ewoks you could still make a pretty viable list using it.
This is cool but i think there really trying to move product we dont actually need vs making newer products that fans actually want😊

how to use it as rebel if Chewbacca is not rebel in this set?
The kit looks nice, but I can't believe they included the outdated Empire card. Just print a new card. I get if you buy an old kit that the cards my be outdated. But update the cards when you re-release a kit with new components. Also, Chewie needs to watch his back for the giant bug that is attacking the walker....
Before you cut out all the pieces Chewbacca kinda looked way bigger than his original model!?! I don’t mean taller. But like his arms are bigger and his head is bigger. And so is his chest! But also that modal of him looks very cartoonish to me……. Are they just going for a different art style or am I just seeing things?!? Honestly, I don’t mind that the legs can only be built in one position. I think that would make it easier for someone who is just starting out to put it together. Lol The Rebel token is kinda funny since you can’t have this model in any normal Rebel army list. And the base is…….. kinda weird. I don’t know why there is a wall and security door on the ground but whatever. With all of that being said, it’s still a good looking model and if you don’t have a AT-ST yet it would definitely be a good buy! And if you’re building both a Rebel and Empire armies then it works great for you. I don’t think I’ll be getting it. Mainly because I already have one and when I play Empire I rarely use it! And 95% of the time I do use it it’s in a 1,200 point list. So I don’t see myself ever needing two of them (I don’t know what else is in that battle force but I’m pretty sure it’s those teddy bears and I’m not getting those either. So it would be almost useless for me). And I can’t even imagine how you would be able to win a game (besides whipping the whole other team out) with 3 of them!?! They can’t capture objectives…… Unless that was another rule change that I haven’t seen yet!

Sell an older one locally and buy the new one
It's not a 100% fair comparison, but this new version is pretty nice, but I'm skeptical it'd live up to the bandi ATST, it's a very nice model building experience, the main downside to that copy is the base is absolute trash in the looks department, and the model for chewie and the 2 empire pilots look pretty bad, but the model is cheap enough that you could realistically find one and get a wookie model online to put in there for the same price or cheaper
Premium base is worst base. Fight me.
