- On the 18th and 19th May 2019, we invited The Irish Brigade to Grace’s Irish Bar to celebrate Glasgow Celtic winning their 8th league title! Both nights were sold out instantly, so we decided to record it for others to enjoy who didn’t manage to secure a ticket.

I´m German and have been traveling to Ireland quite often in the past, meeting such beautiful people from Cork to Dublin and even when I decided to disappear in the Wicklow Mountains for a while. Learned a lot from Irish folks: Their kindness, hospitality and outright loving nature is something I certainly took to heart and am inspired by every day.
For what it is worth: Ireland feels like a second home to me, and I wish the best to all of you amazing folks over there.

I am British and born in England but am extremely proud of my Irish roots and plan to get a dual passport as I qualify due to my late father being born in Ireland(Roscommon), so I would be fine listening to this music as both mum and dad have played Irish Rebel music records throughout my childhood and have heard stories of how the English committed atrocities against the Irish including my ancestors abd their friends and neighbours.

Is the song Brand New Keys blatantly inspired by this song or is it supposedly coincidence that they're almost exactly the same melody and the words are very similar in the first verse
Brand New key was a chart topping internationally popular song and was in boogie knights too. Kinky boots is a politically charged lyric version of that song. I much prefer this one though
I'm somewhat curious if Kinky Boots was inspired by Combine Harvester, which was inspired by Brand New Key. Combine Harvester is more culturally relevant and starts very similarly to Kinky Boots. The music itself sounds closer to me as well.
