Yes, I recommend switching to linear if you’re still on classic. Even with a large dead zone it feels like classic ,but you’ll have a little more control in the close range fight. Also try control freaks if you haven’t I started using them and they really make a difference. Up close make sure you try your best to match your opponents strafe, not only will this cancel out your recoil but it keeps you on target. If you’re following your opponent with your left stick you only need minimal movement on the right stick. :)
