The Cairns event of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup had riders hitting huge gaps, muddy rock gardens, and steep drops on the downhill MTB course. With big terrain comes big crashes, and there was no shortage of them as riders left it all on the dirt in pursuit of the podium.

I still dont understand why up until the other week ive never really heard of downhill mountain biking... im Australian and where i come from in Vic its not even heard of! i would LOVE to get a bike and start but the bikes ive been looking up are way too expensive... i was hoping to pick a cheap bike up for around $600 and cant find any -_- no point buying a $1000+ bike as a beginner
good luck even finding a half decent begginer DH bike used for 1000 aus
+Gunshow0 Get a cheap one to learn on then upgrade the pieces over time, a year or two maybe you'll have a good bike and the skills to ride it hard.
