  • Hello everyone! In this Blender tutorial we will be creating a cool particle fire effect using Mantaflow and the Particle System. To achieve this we will be using the fluid flow force field in Blender 2.90 to make the particles follow the smoke.

    Great job, I have to troubleshoot my sim, for reasons that elude me at the moment my particle system exploded out of the domain LOL ! so there's a bit of work for me to get it right.
    Love your animation though, very clean & easy to follow ........ just like all of your tuts.
    Stay safe, keep on smiling 😀

    Okay, I got lost right away. When I deleted my cube there was no lightning... What am I doing wrong?

    Might be selfish of me but, would be nice to make another tutorial about low poly interiors, regardless, good content, and looking forward for more.

      Thanks for the idea! I've been wanting to create another low poly tutorial. I just need to come up with a subject!

      No problem, and thanks to you too for your crystal clear tutorials. I personally want to see another one of those low poly room designs especially in the 2.9 version.

    Will adding motion blur improve the render by connecting the particles (or smearing them)?

  • @SmellyNutz
    @SmellyNutz Před 3 lety +1

    Great tutorial as always,
    But which one s less taxing, the Particle or the Mantaflow simulation?

    • @BlenderMadeEasy
      @BlenderMadeEasy  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you! It really depends on the settings and values you put it but in general Mantaflow simulations are definitely more taxing on the CPU. Particles are much easier to run smoothly.

    9:30 the color ramping isn't doing nothing, its only letting me select/change it to one color even though i have three sections added to the ramp

    • @TheRyanGuy

      I followed tutorial perfectly twice, and both times the fire looked weird it was shaped like an oval and the particles would explode everywhere :(

    Does not work for me, doing exact what u are doing, but my particles won`t follow the fire animation. :(

  • @heiro5
    @heiro5 Před rokem

    I see I'm not the only one whose particles are lifted by the fire flow but then continue on out of the domain, away from the fire, but I have no idea how to trouble shoot the problem...

    I followed step by several do-overs from beginning within my already created city scene. I rendered as PNG (to be converted into AVI) and it did not work. You can only particles (dots), no flame or flame-shape. I have PNG photo as proof. But can't attach to this comment.

      @@BlenderMadeEasy ah, I was thinking about 2.9.0 but if there are not much improvement, well I'll take it thanks !
      Quick question do you know what cause the slow down in a scene ? Because no matter how large or small my simulation is, the lag seems to be completely random for me x_x

    • @BlenderMadeEasy
      @BlenderMadeEasy  Před 3 lety

      If I'm understanding your question that really depends on your hardware. If you have a slower computer it will slow down the animation. Once you render it out it should be smooth though.
