Still listening to it in 2022, fresh in my brain always, from way back in my primary school (1999) when I held the leadibg role for the choreography, I personally selected it, or am not leading the group
Watching this in 2022 thinking what Brenda would have sung about the Covid-19 times we live in, she was our own light on the hill. Carrying the South African history in her music
I just discovered her about 1-2 years ago. I listened to her song "mama". It truly touched my soul. I said that if my mom ever passed away this is the song I want to play at her funeral. I'm Canadian, no one that I know has ever heard of her. Well, the time had come when my mom passed away 2 months ago. Never had I imagined my mom would be gone this soon. So devastating. Well, I played it at my moms funeral. I never and will never forget this song! This song will forever be for my mama. Thank you Brenda for making the perfect song that expresses my love and appreciation for my mama. R.I.P queen.
As a South African living abroad, this song hits me hard. Her voice and tone is unmatched. Rest in peace MaBree. And rest in power Tata Madiba. You both continue to live in our hearts #MzansiStrong❤🇿🇦❤🇿🇦❤
