I don't normally watch chit-chat videos but the combo of the self-care and the chit-chat....BRILLIANT.
I loved every moment of this and stayed till the end. You even got me wanting to knock off from work and do a little self-care because sleep truly is only a part of self-care. I have the same habit of knocking off and jumping into bed and although that's okay, this video got me thinking that maybe I can wind down instead.
Also decided to get that sleep app from the last video, Rise, which might be one of the best mentions that aligns with me. Thank you, Aliyah! Can't wait for the next video.
trusting in the universe is something that really helped me in my life and finding my bf. i used to sit in my loneliness and just throw pity party after pity party for myself. but when i started to recognize that if i really wanted to find a partner, i had to work on myself and learn to be comfortable with my own company, thats when he came into my life out of literally nowhere. i also spent sometime learning how to communicate my wants and needs and how to set boundaries. now, i have a incredibly wonderful and caring boyfriend who i feel safe enough to go to for comfort and help when my mental illnesses start to run wild. he makes me feel so freaking loved and continues to heal my inner child who was convinced she could never be enough for someone.
i really like that the questions were not just centered on hygenie and girl things. anyone for any gender can listen to your thoughts on the questions.
i try to be as inclusive as possible

🧸🎀💕So glad you gave this girl talk a good portion in this video. I struggle so bad trying to find my people (friends wise) and I have been told I was CRAZY for wanting close bonded friendships with people. Mind you I’m the only child, a child to a single mom, no close family members except for one cousin that’s a year older than me. So yea😅 I seek out people I can consider family because I basically don’t have anyone in my life except my parents and one cousin and my partner. And I understand there are levels to friendships and not everyone can be a bestie or feel like family but my struggle was coming from being friends with people who would call me “sis” or say “I’m such a good friend” but they only talk to me when they want something or don’t talk to me for months on end and that irked me so bad. I’m so glad you talk about how it’s ok to want certain type of friends and you shouldn’t just be content with people who aren’t adding and only taking away from your life. 🫶🏾
wanting community is NORMAL and dont you dare let anyone make you feel bad for that!!!! i truly understand where you're coming from as someone who really surrounds themselves with family much more than platonic friends!! i've struggled so much with friends since i was a teenager so everything is a lesson!!
