I usually go with Air8, RGS, GreenePhite and GreenPunch as a start, lots of rain and sunshine so opening up those holes for bio/organic feeding. My soil is high in P therefore GreenePop is in late April and I also dose for plants/flowers.

Chuck, love all your video's on both the N-ext and your CZcams channels. I had also watched your video on soil tests and wondered if you knew if it's ok to take a soil test after I've put down Air 8 and RGS about a week ago and it's rained for a number of days. Thanks again for your humor and factual lawn videos.

I have gotten good fert results two seasons now in the April-May time frame with 7-0-0 Greene Effect -- I apply heavily once at 16 oz/1000 before the summer heat. My lawn is in poor clay soil in northern Louisiana. I can't find anyone else who has tried a heavy dose of 7-0-0 and I think it's effective and economical. I can get two 7-0-0 feedings out of 1 gallon for my 4200 sq ft lawn at a heavy rate. I have better results with a backpack sprayer than hose end sprayer. I use at least 10:1 water or more for this high amount of 7-0-0. My other main nitrogen feeding is Anderson's granular weed killer with nitrogen 21-0-0 in June. I also do erratic applications of Humic 12, Flora Greene and Micro Greene. My roses and fruit trees LOVE low doses of Flora (1.5 oz/gal) and Micro (1 oz/gal) together. Warning: Do not exceed those rates for roses or trees.

I’ve been using n-ext products for two years now. I follow a cool season lawn plan from Pete (GCI TURF). It’s march 26th and my grass is already a dark green. Coming out of winter here in Indianapolis and I had very little brown spots and like I said now it’s starting to fill out and I haven’t even put anything in down yet.
