I used to skate Albany in the late 90’s. I’m glad to see the downtown scene is still alive. Congrats on keeping the shop going for so long. I grew up skating with Ralph up in Plattsburgh and he’s always been the best dude. Here’s some footage of him from the archive starting at 6:30 for the Ralph fans:

i had a couple boards in the '80s when i was little, but didn't really get into skating until probably '95. i had an older step-brother that skated but i only met him a few times, but i remember looking at his skate mags when i was maybe 6('88-'89) and being introduced to '80s/vert skating though tv and pop-culture. being rural east coast i wasn't really plugged in to skate culture, didn't see many classic videos until several years later. the only ones i owned at the time were 'hai karate'(santa cruz/sma) and 411 best of vol. 1

@@deadonarrival2882 i don't think so, not a full part anyway. been a while since i watched it though. ron whaley, andy roy, jason adams, gershon mosely are some stand outs but i'd have to watch it again

Nobody is watching full videos because nobody is making full videos. Idk about anyone else but I will definitely watch full length videos and i go back and watch old ones instead of all the random single part drops these days. There's too many to keep up with these days and it's causing oversaturation. Quality over quantity. Skate videos used to be better because it was a literal team effort and then some. Not everyone going off on their own just to drop their own part even though they're part of a "team".

Loved Steve’s disbelief that Asian goddess was one of his his favorite videos.
