Just a little video to show everyone what’s a day is like as a bus driver.

when I use to drive buses in australia, they were non power steering, no air con, 5 speed crash box rattle traps and every day was 12 hours.. used a paper ticket machine that was forever jamming up.. things have really changed over the years.. thank god

Great video and your channel is great. I currently watch DoubleDeckerAnton and then found your channel and Yorkshire bus driver. It's cool to see what you bus drivers do on a daily basis and I want to be a bus driver when I'm older.

I’m 15 and I have a huge respect for bus drivers and I want to be one when I’m older. My friends who work at the local bus depot (Mid Wales Travel) have talked me into buses and my dad was a driver in the 80s.
How well does it pay, is it difficult to do and is it an enjoyable job to do?
The buses we run aren’t very big, we have a phew small enviro 200’s and about 3 deckers. I know we also have a Dennis Dart as a back up bus.
omg your amazing i love buses i like the steering wheel how it makes my hands feel and how it makes me feel when I pull on the handbreak. My favorite bus has got to be the old daff and I miss that bus so much its like losing a loved one.
Love it expecially the bus depot where you got to squeeze bus in tight. My hubby is a bus driver best thing he did

Must admit the Cadets looks quite snart now in the YT livery. What branding was the 04 plate carrying? I could read "every 12 mins" but that's it
They do look really good now with the new paint job, I believe its a branded Golcar bus :)
Nice to see how it works. I live in Kent. The buses are run by Arriva. Would you know why the ticket machine plays three notes every so often. Is it something to do with fare stages.
thank you so much for the comment, a lot of the times the machines beep for no reason (Im sure) ha ha.
They usually bleep when linking to the system or when you need to update the fare stage along the route!

Hi to the 2 Shawn and anton 👍 great video. Do you every get on ur bus seat in ur cab and press the wrong thing.
After a few drives you get use to where things are :) it'd help some drivers if they were typed trained before they drove ha but Im use to these buses so i know what all the little icons are :)

I too enjoyed that, but I do hope there is no reversing on the public highway with hazard lights switched on as it would be illegal.
Guy Arab it’s private land at a the depot, so we’re able to reverse to park the busses up.
I fully realise that, but it is confusing as you don't know whether the vehicle is going left, right or straight. I've seen it done so many times and it is, besides being illegal, unnecessary with today's vehicles having reversing light(s) and many with audible warnings. .

Fab video, do you have to ask for work or your company permission to do this, I drive buses on the Wirral and thinking of doing the same.

Do you have to socialize alot as a bus driver. I'm a huge introvert after being bullied at work and school for years and need money to support myself and i really dont wanna go on disabilities.
