  • We had rain, sun, thunder, and hail today as we ventured out for a half day trip to Saint-Émilion. There were some great views and some historical attractions including the Église Monolithe de Saint-Émilion which is the largest monolithic church in the world. We opted not to do any wine tasting or purchasing and instead, wandered the streets, enjoying the beautiful views before taking the train back to Bordeaux.

There are wine tour options throughout the region. We looked at doing a cycling tour and none were available.
