Man seeing the pain in your eyes that last 10 seconds of your video breaks my heart dude! I see the passion and when you work hard and come close like you did I know it hurt. Just stay focused Ethan you got another one coming for sure
"I really don't think anyone is going to go all in as a bluff on the river here, ever"
*calls with pocket 5s
Lmao
Folding does suck granted, but sometimes it's the hands you fold that get you to the final table.
Hope you're having a great day Ethan. Wishing you even more luck than you already have, keep grinding it out there!
Ethan in the morning! Always bringing 🔥! Always entertained. Can't wait to see what's next. Closes out my week with amazingness!
Love me some Rampage in the middle of my day! Great stuff!
In my experience an UTG limp jam is nearly always AA or KK (personally I hate this strategy). I know you were getting decent enough odds to call but that's always a fold for me with AJ. If I'm holding AK then it's an excruciating call but AQ and lower it's a fold for me.
Besides, love the vlog man. Keep crushing it 👊🏻
@@cameronandrew1853 good point, but it was not a limp raise, it was a limp jam. Takes some really otherworldly testicles to limp jam garbage or even worse that AJ off for your tournament life...
You are correct 95% of the time. I limped in the BB+2 with A-A hope someone got silly. One guy went 50 then another 100! Licking my chops I all-in’d with about $700 behind, 1st guy folded buy the reraiser goes into the tank for eternity before throwing in his A-K hoping I’d show my cards…..I did not. BUT when the game broke he seemed friendly enough and gave him the good news… he most likely saved himself $700 bucks.
UTG limps are either fish playing AA-KK or fish playing garbage. Don't be a fish. You're losing value or keeping garbage hands in to crack your aces. Some dude was furious just yesterday from getting aces cracked by 57s after limping them in EP.
The strategy requires you to balance your UTG limp and UTG limp-shove range, which are losing plays in the long run. Not saying you should never do it, an aggressive table might pay a bit more but your reraise would seem incredibly strong. Might make you lose more value on later streets or prompt premiums to fold. Overall, the play is just bad. You're going to have hands where you have no action of your aces, and that's fine. You don't want to play a single hand at a time, you want to play your ranges all the time.
@@simmerke1111 UTG should be a fold 97% of the time. I love seeing UTG limp plays, for most of the time, because it’s dead money. If you not ready to call at least a 5x-10x raise under the gun, your wasting your money. If I got a monster(A-A, A-K, K-K or Q-Q), I like to limp hoping for a raise. Then I snap the trap with a big reraise. Other than that, it’s a fold.
It’s a pretty common move to limp shove/raise with aces and kings especially with older players they think it’s new and unique lol
Ethan, I'm grateful when you show the bad with the good. it does show that semi-pros and pros don't always win and sometimes it's the odds of drawing what you need. It's entertaining when we see you sun running. this shows that even playing well doesn't always equate to winning. Keep your chin up heading into the next one man. Get back on the RAMPAGE!
One of your best vlogs so far! Keep 'em coming!
WoW that’s some session right there, your attitude towards poker is what I find amazing, keep grinding man, rain & sunshine joy & pain
i'd settle for have that run good you've been riding lately!!!!!! amazing run man enjoy it!!!!
Insane run. Hang in there Ethan. We really enjoy your content.
appreciate you putting up videos. you were super tired in the video but still show us your journey . thank you.
Awesome Ethan. Don't feel so bad bro. You've had better days and it'll get way better for sure. I always enjoyed your vlogs and it's extremely entertaining. Keep charging ahead and as always... you're one of my favorite poker vloggers on CZcams. Thanks for being you.
you have got to be the luckiest wnkr in the history of poker
respect the honesty in showing the good and the bad hands, that’s life for a poker player, you can’t always make the right decision
Love the fact that you post tournament play! keep up the great content!
Poker can be a brutal grind at times. Like you said, you put in major hours and to come up just short is painful, yet the cold hard reality of tournament poker. Definetly a rollercoaster session, loved to see the start and the comeback! Wish you had locked your stack up after flopping the str8 w J10. Chasing the next hand w the 89sp cost you at a time when blinds were on the rise and you needed those chips badly. But you were so amped about that big win, it was an easy chase. Happens
Adversity builds character Ethan and the way I see it, your should be playing poker at this level and higher for the rest of your life. These are still the Early years. As you gain more experience in these difficult situations, your gonna gain the wisdom and sound decision making that’s gonna propel you to dozens more deep runs.
Even tho a little disappointing, Never forget how Blessed you are to be living the life you do. You inspire so many of us to chase and live our own dreams. No matter what happens, keep your light Shining man 🌟You got this 💪
Got my mystery box today - SUPER good mix, man! Love it! Keep the run-good going, on & off the felt!💪💰🍀
Not your best day on the felt. Balancing survival and aggression would benefit your game. You call off way too light in spots that put a lot of chips at risk. Also, Limp shoves are almost always AA in tourneys.
love this vid man, ur one of the first people who really got me into poker and recently i went to play at The Lodge (which was my first timing playing poker that wasnt a home game) and actually won like $400! Keep up the good work, love the tournament vids
It’s crazy how many poker pros there are in the comments. Didn’t realize how many people I’ve never even heard of are more disciplined and better than Ethan. 😂 Man, and here I was thinking what Ethan has accomplished was amazing.
It’s weird that you think you need to be known on the internet to be a high level poker player. Some of the biggest cash game winners in the world are people you’ve never heard of..
I loved the Parrot Farm when I was there in December. Beautiful place!
Hey Ethan, I do appreciate your game play as you take the risks the rest of us don't have the balls to do. Love seeing all the results.
Such a brutal run. I feel for you man. Good luck on your next tournament!
When u have so many chips it's ok to slow down and fold some or wait for great hands
Thanks for the great example ! We love sweating with you and all your hands! I won 2 tournaments since watching you!! Thanks Ethan!
Quit taking so many risks when you have a big stack. It's fine to be a luck box with a short stack because that's when you're supposed to take risks. When you have an above average stack tighten up and wait for better spots. You have enough experience to know when you're likely beat, now you need to learn to lay those freaking hands down!
Agree. Needs a little more discipline in his game.
We all know you have balls, you've proven that repeatedly, now show us you have the discipline to make it all the way
100% agree. Can’t play every “decent” hand when you have a chip stack. Your either going to punt it away or just bleed out chips slowly.
And when you have a lot of chips, try not to get involved in too many hands so you can allow other short stacs to bust out
All replies here excellent advice
Nice run, keep your head up. I know its not the result you wanted but keep grinding and you're already strong game will get even better. Definitely enjoying the content and all the twists and turns of your journey. Best of luck!
I have high hopes for you this coming WSOP season.
great episode!.. like that you didn’t spoil the outcome in title of vlog… towards the end of the 30 mins, was hoping there might be a part 2
Keep on smiling big dawg. You’ll get that diamond ring soon enough! I’m proposing to my girlfriend this weekend so at least someone’s getting a diamond ring 😅
Very cool dog congratulations
Yeww! Good luck T!
Tournament Vlog always great and winning diamond ring will be great for collection.
Nice run, keep your head up Ethan!
Gotta start on the day right with a rampage video 😎
love the frustration! we have all been there!!! 🤣
11:11 TURN . BINK. FULL HOUSE. LETS GO
Dammit. We feel your pain, man. You're a great player. Don't let it get you down too much. Keep up the good work!
Good job man, it's not easy to have enough discipline to run that deep in LIVE tournaments. Tournaments are a different beast to cash. From what I've seen you're a great tournament player and good for you!
That was rough, but was very interesting. Hang in there. I love your aggression.
My first relatively large buy in online tourney in the money, someone limp reraised me and I had QQ. I swear I almost folded but then just decided to go with it. Ofc it was AA. It’s always AA. You’ve been playing poker long enough to know a limp jam is AA.
Great job Ethan. Keep up the good content. Cheers.
That 98 of spades hand where you were on a spade draw on the turn....when the club flush draw completes on the river I think you have a shot at getting Ax to fold with a shove on the river......
Eh man keep that chin up! 💪 felt like you played great imo no one’s perfect just try n learn from mistakes this is fire🔥 keep it up thank you 🙏
“Pretty tilted at myself” 😂😂 a poker player’s way of saying “frustrated with how i’m playing” lol
Bubble boy! I felt that punt brother. See you in a few weeks at the wsop my MA brother from another mother!
I bubbled the main at the ballys poker open in blackhawk, it stung for sure!
Well the upside of dusting off nearly 400k @ 2500/5000 blinds is you would of got coolered for said amount on the AK last hand vs. AA
Good luck next tournament!!!
Bubble boy!!!! Keep grinding bro. U good
Yea, I’m happy to announce I got my luck box mystery bag today! Unfortunately no Golden ticket. I was expecting a box, got a bag instead.
You're so fun to watch man
Your a good player but to get to the next level you gotta learn to fold, a few small losses are better than 1 big one 👍
I hope one of these days u can be player of the year bro good luck
"I'm going to be folding a lot." I had to replay that part lol. Just needling ya!
Brutal dude, can’t always blink it though
Ouch!! Bubble hurts. You will get the next one.
Good vlog.
(not being able to fold those 55s etc) What's that saying... oh right, if you cant see the fish at the table, GET A MIRROR. LOL
Love that trucker hat !! Anyone got a link for it or similar paintball style cap ? Love the color lol
BIRD PORN HAHA almost died still trying not to laugh bro that was funny
Good vlog man ... I like to needle ya here and there ... should've played a little passive some hands and blasted that 55 hand on that jj board where u thought ubwere good on turn
Hope you're having a great day Ethan. Wishing you even more luck than you already have, keep grinding it out there! (dont play cash game)
Dude that sucks so bad, I've been there, spend all that time. You'll get them next time.
Fist pumping in your head. I love that. Lol
Bubble Boy... so tough. Ethan, your posts are as real is it gets. Truly the good, bad and ugly. Thank you for keeping it real!
Ethan my thought on the 9-8 hand is if you call the turn bet I would’ve jammed the river with that particular river. You’re blocking the straight plus I thought he played his hand as a big Ace and unless he has specifically AK or AQ of clubs he’s getting to be in a pretty gross spot for his tournament life. Just a thought. Love your videos though….
I like the way how u kept it 100% not like how all these fake CZcamsrs only shows the best hands... Keep going bro 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Dang that must be tilting to bubble 😩 keep your head up brother!
I saw you were at my local casino, Harrahs Cherokee. Please tell me you have a vlog coming out for that one!
Rough one, keep your chin up! Great video.
Sending some run good man
Bummer man. Great run though. And I always watch your content. Keep firing. You’re great.
Exciting! Some cool wins, but I think there is a definite opportunity for you to learn to fold more. I felt like you gave away too many chips because curiosity got the better of you.
5:45 birdporn 😂😂😂
sux on the bubble - been there - u played well!
No jak to oglądam to pełna profeska.
I got payed today and Immediately ordered a mystery box! Can't wait!
dude!.. been the bubble too!.. it hurts when the whole room is cheering your demise...
Aw brother... Crushed me to see you finish there.. so damn close
You did good bro. Although you could have played safe a few more mn even if you went down on the blinds. You were a bit rough at the end
If I could have a chance to actually ever meet a professional I would have to pick meeting you, i have truly enjoyed watching your awesome journey, thank you for always sharing your journey
hope you run better soon. AK into AA at the end is just so unlucky
Looking like Brady with those rings
that limp jam is aces 99.99% of the time
once you get 4 rings youll be able to make that wsop knuckle duster i suggested in one of my last comments
youre there to win not mid cash, so when you bust after playing 20 hours you have to put it all in perspective
Ethan, that 89 spades sent you on tilt after. Once he pre flop raise you shouldn't of been in the hand in the 1st place but you tried to be tricky. When being tricky you need to steal the pot on a great bluff. After he bet 65k on the turn he was pushing you off your flush draw. Then BINK club comes. That was your moment to look at his stack. Look at him. Look back at his stack and push all in. That river card saved you. No way he was calling in that river club. Snap flod. That was the turning point of your life line to making the $$. Good try I been there before
QJs overbet lovvvvvvve it
The A5 diamonds cost you that was the defining hand !!
it's an awesome vlog; i cheer for your success with each video. I guess ICM considerations are not good for the vlog?
absolutely crazy what good variance in poker can do for someone, good for you Ethan, glad youre using it for something good and seem like a good guy
Jamming ng with A5 and A2 near the bubble?! Tighten up!
I just got coolered by pocket threes a few days ago. He was a really old guy. I had a boat on the flop and somehow he peels quads... Pocket threes are the new pocket fours.. Feelsbadman
GG’s my guy.
Is it worth considering shoving the 89s on the flushy river ? Turning your low showdown eq into a bluff ? Also, your line screams mostly of fd play. Not much you can bluff with except for your exact hand and that's if you decide to turn it into a bluff ..lmk your thoughts on this 1. Cheers
Sometimes i think you overplay mediocre hands, there are better spots to battle the other big stacks.
Keep your chin up bro..your a great poker player
89spades hand, worth shoving the river? Hand looks like a flush draw IMO so seems possibly viable?
What happens if someone busts on a different table at the same time you do? Do they run cameras and see which hand was over first? or what happens? Thanks
I felt your rage mid clip. No one bluffs and it's aggravating since although it means they are losing so much value and you end up profiting most of the time because of it, you still level yourself into thinking they cant be fish enough to only bet for value
