Indulge in one of the final showings for this classic show! Soon to be replaced, we will surely miss this Animal Kingdom classic recorded on November 11th, 2023 at Animal Kingdom.
'Soon to be replaced', well there you go, this is the first I've ever heard of it as an animation movie fan...
First you’ve heard of It’s Tough to be a Bug being replaced ?
I’m glad we just saw it this year, all the kids in the show loved it!
Glad you guys caught it! Those are some cool kids.
Sad that all of A Bug's Life related attractions have became a distant memory, I mean A Bug's Land over here at California Adventure has became Avengers Campus. A Bug's Life in general shouldn't be forgotten, it's my favorite PIXAR movie growing up.
I was lucky enough to go to Disneyland back in 2016 and catch Bug's Land before it closed! Sadly I only really walked through it between lands and didn't really indulge in any of the attractions but I consider myself fortunate to have said I at least experienced it!
@@TheAxxelChannelNever got to experience it, myself. But I do remember when it was being built. There were fun signs with Flick and the gang looking at the blueprints for the land.
That's neat! You must've seen a classic version of California Adventure if it was even before Bugs Land (for better or worse)!
It has always deserved a sequel.
Really sad that it's come to this. I used to clean the queue for this attraction as a CM. Standing inside the tree to hear the guests scream at certain parts of the movie was always fun.
That’s neat, a special experience for you with Bugs for sure.
If the Walt Disney Imagineers are currently finalizing the Zootopia 3D movie concept to replace It's Tough to Be a Bug, Could it mean that It's Tough to Be a Bug's days are already numbered or not yet?
This could very well mean the end of our bug companions is nigh.
@@TheAxxelChannel I didn’t even get the chance to see it
It's still there for some time @masterdrewt6698 ! They have not announced a closing date yet so shouldn't be any time soon. Maybe sometime mid to late 2024.
I was there November 24th to say goodbye, was disappointed that the Hopper animatronic did not make an appearance. His scene is so intense, I couldn't believe the amount of "bug spray" that filled the room. I'll miss the show. It makes sense for under the tree, unlike Zootopia.
I can’t recall how many times I’ve practically almost died during that show. If you sit on the right spot you’re at ground zero where the fumes get blasted at the audience and it’s literally suffocating! (But imo that’s part of the experience hahah) The fact the spiders come out to attack the audience right after while everyone is still recovering and catching their breath is nuts.
was it in bmode what happened in b mode ive always wanted to see that
What’s the difference between B mode and the standard experience @MrGleeiscool ?
@@TheAxxelChannel that’s what i wanna know no one posts videos about hoppers b mode
@@MrGleeiscool I’m not sure if Hopper not appearing is B Mode, but basically he just did not appear and a spotlight was not shone where he stands. It looks like Flik is talking to Hopper who is off-screen on the side. The audience is just supposed to guess who he’s talking to I suppose until he appears on screen
It needs to be on DVD!
It would be cool if the video footage was preserved and put online to see it long after it’s gone!
At least you’ll have this video to relive through the experience 👀
You know what Walt said: "Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world."
That’s true, it will never be a “finished” product !
Agreed big time
He said "grow." Not replace classics like this show. Disney is really messing up these days. I'm sure they have enough space to make a Zootopia attraction somewhere else. All they care about now is the money.🙄
It was a great 3D attraction to be honest! Gonna miss it, though! Plus, the Dinosaur ride will also be yet to be renovated into a new Indiana Jones attraction; nevertheless the Disney company will think of maybe build a new Disney Dinosaur World, sort of! Beard of Changewing!🐜
I will miss this attraction but I'm also aware it needs a change and am hopeful for whatever they do next! (Bugs set the bar high with it's theming). Dinosaur retheme although also necessary for the long run still cuts DEEP and I'll be in shambles when it closes.
I don't know I feel about it being rethemed to an already existing Indiana Jones themed attraction instead of a new property but that's for another video ...
Woah, I never heard about this happening, and I was in WDW a month ago. I didn't spend much time at Animal Kingdom during the trip and I was planning on giving it another shot, despite me not being a fan of it much for its effects. Shame I'm learning that it's closing after the fact.
It’s a bummer because there’s a lot about this attraction I love but I can’t deny the fact it needs an overhaul. No date set for its closure and not much released about what’s replacing it yet (aside from it being most likely Zootopia themed).
@TheAxxelChannel Huh. 🤔 Funny thing is, I also am not much of a bug person in general, but I was rushing around trying to do stuff I wanted to try (which I later discovered I can't due to medical reasons on the newer rides I wanted to go on 🥺), but I had to leave early to get to a dining reservation at Disney Springs. I'm hoping to spend more time there the next time I go.
And I should add that this was my first trip to WDW since 2011.
Wowie I’m sure a lots changed since you were last here. Hopefully your next visit will be sooner !
@@TheAxxelChannel I certainly hope so, too! I even stayed at the same resort as last time, and it was one that has the Skyliner connection.
Oh?? That’s fancy, which of the resorts?
I noticed his mouth isn’t moving that much 3:44
It’s not, probably worn out throughout the years unfortunately and since it’s on its way out Disney will most likely not invest on maintenance unless it’s absolutely necessary.
I don’t want it to go!!! 😢
Sometimes if we truly love something we have to let it go 😔
@@TheAxxelChannelfacts
I read through a lot of the comments, and most of them are about how sad everyone is to lose this show. (Including me) Disney is making a mistake.😢
Enjoy it while you can, Mr. Tom Morrow.
Hopefully the new show will be a success
Hopefully it becomes as iconic as Bugs
I am glad I got to in joy it I went back for my birthday trip I would like to know what they’re replacing it with maybe a bolt attraction for Walt Disney pictures bolt because that would be something to the animal kingdom park .
Bolt would be an... interesting choice for an attraction. You're not wrong though, he is an animal.
I must destroy the contracts from renovation
You mad lad.
More like good riddance to It's Tough to be a Bug. As an autistic individual, I will in no way miss this absolute sensory nightmare.
Oh man I bet. There is so much going on, I’m surprised it’s a kid friendly show with how much gets thrown at you.
@@TheAxxelChannel I don't get it either, IMO it's waaaaaaaay to scary for kids. Hopper is absolutely terrifying.
Good, so that way I dont have to worry about hornet's stingers!
Aside from letting the bugs leave the theater, that’s one of my favorite parts 😳
Me too
It's time to say goodbye, It's Tough To Be A Bug. 🐛 😪 😢 😔 😞 😕 Thanks! 😊🙏👍☺😀😄
Farewell and rest easy old friend.

Bug gone forever but never been forgotten
The impact It's Tough to be a Bug has had on the world is incalculable.
I'm gonna bust out crying because it's the last time. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I'll be crying as I get blasted by Hopper's fumes one last time.
So sad I missed
It’s still there! You have time to catch it.
@@TheAxxelChannel I did
Curious how a chameleon was eating Hopper considering that he, Hopper, was devoured by a bird's chicks.
He is doomed to meet a terrible fate in every universe.
To be honest, I never like Giant Spiders in this show since I was a kid. 😖
That's understandable, they are very menacing.
This. Has. Got. To. Stop.
Bugs are our allies, not our enemies.
I agree. If you wanna build more rides fine but quit shutting stuff down we loved as kids.
@@thesimstreamerAnimal Kingdom is such a huge park, and they have so much untapped space. I can confirm. I used to work there. There's no reason they can't expand.
I used to work there too a while back! Main entrance merch @aaronsarchive82
That Hopper animatronic is in very bad condition
He’s seen things.
Is there a confirmed replacement?
According to Disney yes (a Zootopia experience). But I’ll believe it once I start seeing actual construction. Here’s the article if you want more info: wdwnt.com/2023/09/breaking-zootopia-show-replacing-its-tough-to-be-a-bug-in-tree-of-life-at-disneys-animal-kingdom/

Thank you for your service bugs🤝
When is it closing?!
Yep! Like @looneyanimatorstudio said, no set date so enjoy it while you can !
final Day
Unknown, but it's days are numbered..
What if they fail to replace?
I’m sure it’ll be replaced eventually if not in the near future for Zootopia. The IP just doesn’t attract the crowd like a more popular one would.
wait today
What
There are only rumours
It was actually announced at D23 this year! Here’s an article: wdwnt.com/2023/09/breaking-zootopia-show-replacing-its-tough-to-be-a-bug-in-tree-of-life-at-disneys-animal-kingdom/
@@TheAxxelChannel I don't watch that
Not to be rude but what does the head of King Kong have to do with a bug life
????
Are you referring to the wood carving of a gorilla head, that was shown outside?
It’s apart of the Tree of Life (the giant tree at Animal Kingdom), it showcase multiple animals from around the world, from reptiles to dinosaurs and even mammals, on the trunk and root system of the tree. They kinda blends into the tree, so from afar, you can’t see all the various animals. Until you get close enough to the tree.
One of my favorite part of waiting to enter the “It’s Tough to be a Bug” pre-show area, is to see how many animals we (my family) can find on roots of the Tree of Life, since the show is under that giant tree.
@@spottedtime The Tree of Life is one of the most beautiful landmarks Disney has ever made imo. Joe Rohde and the Imagineers really outdid themselves with this park.
