Oddly enough I was just there looking for a condo. All of the condo complexes have really nice amenities, the beach is quite close and because of the small size of the township local traffic is minimal with the street being quiet nearly all day and night. The problem I found is that the Mactown Newtown township is quite small with a single boulevard where all of the condos and businesses are located. Another issue is the time it takes to get to Cebu. Traffic is awful so it was an hour taxi ride in order to get to IT park.
I wish you to find your place
We just returned from the Philippines and part of our stay was supposed to be here. I agree that the buildings themselves are a stunning design but our particular unit was absolutely disgusting. The mold, dirt and cockroaches were just too much, as was the foul smell. The building itself (tower 1) showed surprise wear. It made me wonder what the HAF was going towards. Mostly security is my guess because the building itself was not kept up from what we could see. We tried to give it a go anyway, opened the windows to air it out while we went downstairs to the shopping market. The market itself was much smaller and crowded than I was expecting but I suppose it could provide the basics for your needs. When we returned there was really no improvement on the awful smell of this unit. We found mould and a grease trap long overdue a cleaning in the kitchen as the main culprits for the stench. The last straw for us was what we saw in the bedroom. There was just no way we were going to lay our heads on those disgusting pillows. We didn't even last one night before we found other accommodations. Beware of non-refundable units like this one. We realized that the owner had no interest in keeping it up because they actually make more money when you leave because no electricity/AC bill for them. It was a total scam!

Hi Alex, I don't know about monthly rent but daily rent is 2500 pesos. And 4000 per month cost maintenance with all amenities

@rexmascarina2169....Not true at all. According to my inventory of condo listings right now, there's only one luxury condo in Davao City right now and that's The Residences at Azuela Cove. All other condos in Davao City, either completed or under construction, are mid-range and low-end. In Lapu-Lapu City, aside from these Mactan Newtown condos, much higher end condos are The Residences at Sheraton Mactan, The Reef Mactan Residences, Aruga Residences by Rockwell Mactan and The Tambuli Seaside Residences.
