Yo, there’s a joke on another YT short I saw that’s like “look at how far we’ve come as a society” and that had me weak, I didn’t think he’d go for that side but I’d be lying to say I didn’t of him making a black joke. Call me a terrible person or whatever, that wouldn’t exactly be funny but either way he’d find a way to make it entertaining as hell. He also reminded me of that and this one small little thread I’m a part of that’s in on the society joke.

I'm 50, retired fireman of 21 years, have run everyday except Sundays since 8th grade. 7 miles most day, 9 others. And you're right the 400 is almost impossible to continuously run full out. But that was my favorite , the last leg of 400, make or break

This might be because I’m far more used to full on miles and I run them more so you don’t gotta focus so much on pure sprinting but I don’t see the 400 meter as that bad, but I mean if you’ve been running several miles and been running since 8th grade then I’ll take your word since I’m still only a Sophmore and I don’t even run every single day. Still, when I do run I personally don’t see the first 400 meters as that bad…

I'm 36.. from 19 to 25 years old, I used to amateur box.. so great cardio, and top shape..
Since then, work schedule and all ( I know, excuses !!), I put on about 25 kilos (from 89 kilos to 115), and now I can't run for more than 5 minutes..
How do you get the motivation ??
@@menaceclan As someone with experience of putting things off and struggling to find motivation I personally just put off work/schedule for a moment and say “Hey, I have about an hour or two, let’s try and run and keep up a steady pace I know I can tolerate that’s also not incredibly slow or too easy.” I just tell myself that, thought my normal pace is about 5-6 miles per hour for a straight mile with slight changes around the end with it raised up to 7-8 for a good 30-45 seconds then raised back down and possibly a bit lower for a little ease on my body, but overall I’d say just use whatever time you got to either go outside or go to the gym and try to keep up a nice, steady pace. Again, I don’t have anything too difficult or anything incredibly hands-on to focus on but I speak from experience of procrastinating.
