All these cars make it to the Eau Rouge apex without breaking so that speed number is a good comparison of raw acceleration between the different series since the preceding La Source corner is very slow, sharp, and relies entirely on mechanical grip.
The Porsche Carrera Cup, GT4, Nascar Cup, and Supercar classes are all more power than grip series.
That hypercar run was butter, only losing 0.7% speed.

Interesting comparison. I like how it highlights how speed doesn’t make the corner, the handling and weight of a car does
And downforce!!
More so, handling, weight and downforce decide what speed you can make the corner in.
@@ba97racing You're just repeating the same things already mentioned.
It's the balance of all of these things. Speed as well because it generates downforce, if the car has the right bodywork.
Some of the cars towards the end were just going so slow that less downforce was required.
“That’s Radillon actually”

So the thing is that cup car is the old Gen 6 so possibly the Gen 7/Next Gen can take Eau Rouge flat but lift for Radillon
@@wolfgamingnetwork3542 a standard Next Gen Cup car might still have to lift, probably could go flat out in the Garage 56 NASCAR Next Gen car
I would love to hear the Gen 6 900hp NASCAR stock cars through that valley :))
Was just thinking the same thing. Hearing those things in person back then was amazing.
Genuinely quite surprised that the NASCAR Stock Car took the corner as well as it did. You don't usually think of those big heavy beasts being nearly as nimble as an F1 Car.
From what sim racing has taught me is that they are not but also since they are doing more road courses now I wouldn’t be surprised if the new cars are a little bit easier. Compared to previous gens
@@hitrecord7830 Much easier. Independent rear suspension and the wider tires made a huge impact on mechanical grip. Plus the aerodynamic improvements with the flat underbody and front and rear diffusers allow the car to create more downforce and hold higher speeds in corners. Now if they would just add power back to the engines, we’d be in business. They used to be 850+ but now are capped at 675.
I feel like it could have been better still if they didn’t get so far over the first rumble strip, looks like it really upset the car.
Probably because people think of them as heavy tanks, but thats just relative to something like an F1 car. Really, they are still purpose built racing machines. Put a good road coarse tune on it and in sure it could keep up pretty well considering it is out of it's element.
@@volo1826 also another thing I hear In driver interviews is that they actually prefer stock cars to be a little bit difficult to handle. Not sure why tho
The stock car might’ve not won the challenge but it most definitely sounds the best. Nothing better than pure American V8 power
For how little downforce a stock car has it did was better then I actually thought it would up there and it was still super fast even though it had to lift.
Yeah cup cars are not super fast in corners but make up on straight line speed. Especially pre 2014. I don’t know if you know Watkins Glen but in 2011 the cars could get up to 305 kph or 190 mph before the bus stop turn.
@@cameronboan627 I watch nascar lmao and know it very well. Just was surprised because the video looked like this was the 2017 through 2018 cup cars which had pretty much almost no downforce and still made it up the hill that fast. Their weight definitely helps for a corner like that though because it helps plant the car into it, but still was surprised they could go that quick up there. If this was the 2014 cars it would’ve been insane cause they are downforce monsters with 950 hp before 2015.
@@cameronboan627you mean pre 2015 because the NASCAR cup cars were the most powerful in history in 2014 where they never went under 910 horsepower except for superspeedways which were 750 something you probably knew, just pointing that out! Jeff Gordons 2014 Michigan Qualifying car supposedly made just over 1000 horsepower

@@UltramanMebiusBrave i think he talked about how slow was compared to other cars...but idk.
Most race cars: flat out, maybe a tiny lift
Chad Stock car: brakes and downshifts
Yes, you should try this with vintage racing cars. Would be interesting to see.
Ahem... "The Raidillon is the steep fast right-hander which starts on the remainder of the old Eau Rouge corner.", Eau Rouge (French for "Red Water") being the "flat bit" in between the two inclines at that part of the circuit and so-called due to the stream that runs underneath. 😜

Awesome to see 2 of my favorites, the Corvette C8.R & the Nascar stock car featured.
I was supremely entertained! Thanks!
That NASCAR sounded heroic!
I bet a Citroen 2cv v6 can take it flat out. Maybe not make it up the hill but still flatout.
This is an absolutely great video you should definitely do more comparisons like this and with even more Motorsports like you could do NASCAR modified or maybe the Smart car EQ cup or even like the Thailand super series turbo trucks!
Man that's some obscure racing series but possibilities are endless in Assetto Corsa
@JUST SIMRACING Awesome I love this type of video thank you for doing this
Also the Nascar cup is labeled wrong it's NASCAR Xfinity last season they just changed the cup car so they look different

Great comparison. Wonder how many lbs of downforce each has since we’re comparing cornering speed.
Btw! Props for am amazing video of current race cars taking Eau Rouge flat in AC.
Just brilliant 🤩
Thank you!
Awesome video......can you do a full lap comparison of the cars on Laguna Seca
really good video.
Nice video dude! Super interesting :D
I think an interesting "flat out" video would be the uphill section of Bathurst. I drive a Formula Fiat (FA01) on it and can go flat out from the left-hander all the way to the downhill section
Great attention to detail with onboard camera placement
Thank you! Glad you guys notice this sfuff
Oh can we see a Pikes Peak car? Fast uphill corners is what those are all about, I'm guessing they should do it flatout
Pike's Peak is a very loose definition, since the only rules are "must technically be a car" and "must have a roll cage". I can turn my Mini into a Pike's Peak car by adding the roll cage.
All that said, I'd like to see any of the Hooni* vehicles take Eau Rouge, preferably with Ken at the wheel for real. Drifting a racing circuit that isn't meant for drifting is always going to be a treat.
I know it’s just a little thing but, other series have different track limits for example gt3 and gt4 and Carrara cup all follow the two wheel rule except for that instead of the white line it’s the curb. Maybe retrying this with those cars could see them go flat out but that could be a stretch
The NASCAR Cup car would've used the run off area near the stands to exit the corner instead of slowing down to stay within track limits also.
question is the new formula e gen 3 cars with 470hp, and still using non-slicks, capable of doing it flat?
I love the nascar cup cars distinct deep roar in the engine
What mod are you using for the Nissan GTR GT500?
Ross Chastian could do it in a cup car flat out
Karin Asaka's Peugeot 908 HDi FAP also.
Very nice video.
Eu Rouge is not scary that might have to lift, but the idea in a race, if you lift too much, you'll carry that speed deficit all the way up the hill. With other bearing down on you, you gotta have the balls to get as much speed thru there, knowing it could end badly either way.
I have no idea why I laughed at the FormulaE car 🤣🤣🤣
Same here.
can you please link downloads for the cars used? I’d love to use the Formula E and Hypercar!
That Formula Regional mob is quite bad, the gearbox is anything like the real life one.
Super Formula is 640hp
DPI is 620hp
Rally1 is 380ho plus hybrid
The Raidillon is really amazing to take IRL
Nice video
Let's see how the Gen 7 NASCAR Cup Car does, improved road course time a ton
Almost definitely still a brake and a downshift. Next Gen is still slower than the Aussie V8 around road courses by some margin.
It would probably have a flat tire even before entering the curve
It has less downforce than the gen 6 though
@@menopiko3584 um. No. It has less over body aero and actually has under body aero, and wider tires giving more mechanical grip.

Dude, where did you find the FR and F4 mods?
porsche cup can do it, but it's tricky with the engine hanging out the back
the indycar one was pretty smooth
I was thinking you would just send it and crash if the crash didn't handle the corner flat out, I think I'd prefer that cuz I keep thinking "maybe the car could do better without that braking, maybe just lifting would do"
Where did u get the super gt and f4 mod from
Where did you get all the mod?
Staggering that a hypercar is just as fast through as an Indycar/F2/Super Formula ❤
Does the gt3 In RL do it flat out?
Dunno if anyone has said this yet bruh the nascar did surprisingly well it kind of seemed like it better than the gt4 and maybe even the Porsche cup maybe I’m wrong bout the comparison tho
Do you have Brazilian Stock Cars in Eau Rouge?
If those cars are in a mod pack for whatever game that is, there cars have good car sounds
NGL to take EAU Rouge flat out, aero should be good with ample downforce on the front and rear, and just no oversteer, that's why cars with high HP and RWD like NASCARS and SUPERCARS can't take it flat out due to that, but on the other hand there's TCR which are FWD (ofc) and so they also flat out easily !!!!
Gearing matters alot here too. some of the cars near the end that really didnt have a whole lot of aero but werent all that fast either could take it flat. its like if the nascar could only get to 200kph by the start of the corner, it would not have had to lift.
@@sprolyborn2554 Yep if you are in high RPMs close to the rev limit you can do it flat out too IMO! But NASCAR as you gave an example has that STRAIGHT OVAL setup on aero and it's not about downforce in them. They want less drag for more speed but here on-track racing, if you have better downforce and better grip and cornering speed, the Vmax your car is going doesn't matter, so that's why it happens here too...
what's the link for the f4 and formula regional
where do you get the mods?
The corkscrew at laguna is the best corner in all of motor sports.
I couldn't drive a golf cart thru it flat out.😂I guess it's the driver!
why doesn't anybody put the mods in the description bro
The high horsepower cars have so much downforce they really didn't have that much of a problem. The low horsepower cars just weren't fast enough to put it to the test. Super interesting vid. Ty.
Then you have the NASCAR Cup car with all power and minimal aero.
Was suprised the btcc car could take it flat but tcr couldn’t
Why do you even use the brake when ur testing if the car can make it flat
I just want to mention: at least in the Cayman GT4 you can take eau rouge flat out
I was going to say, most aero cars made through full throttle
So basically, cars with high downforce, or cars with low power so they can't get going too fast can do it flat, and high power but lower downforce cars have to brake.
The best corner in motor sport is the Daytona trioval/finish line
Would be cool to see S5000 too
Any race car from enterprise rentals, hertz rentals, budget, etc can go up eau rouge
Oh btw, can you link me the formula 2 and formula E mods?
I reckon all of them can take Eau Rouge flat out, as Eau Rouge is only the small left-hander at the bottom of the hill.
just shows how hard it is too turn race cars esspecially nascar and f1 cars
Nascar cars are not really made for turning and have no downforce at all
@@pedrosilvaproductions Nascar stock cars (which aren't just called nascar cars btw) can have some degree of down force, but you also need to consider the fact the cars are heavy, like _really_ heavy and probably the heaviest car that was displayed here.

The rally cars wasn't limited to 300 hp?
They've never been limited to 300hp as such but a lot of restrictions have been added throughout the years to keep the power around 300-320hp (downsizing, turbo boost limitations, restrictors...) WRC cars had the same power for like 20 years (late 90s until 2016). In 2017 with the new WRC Plus rules the FIA decided to finally add more power. Cars had around 380hp at the start and got to 400+hp at the end of the regulations (2021). In 2022 electric motors were added to those same engines and cars are making well over 500hp with that electric boost which lasts only a few seconds. I'm using it in this video.
What simulator is it?🤔
