Where Nick Pitera can sing both male and female parts separately (and flawlessly), Sam Tsui sounds like a perfect combination of both, like the union of masculine and feminine... Quite angelic, really. Absolutely beautiful.

I've thought about this comment for a few years now... and not a single person that I've seen on CZcams or in real life has ever stuck me as a better choice for a live action Buzz. And if the dude in question is reading this, please don't take it personally or think were talking shit. You have an absolutely amazing voice, but the vibe that you give off, coupled with how you look is just amazingly close. Its like when I look at Chris Pratt and imagine how good he would be as Indiana Jones... don't mean it as an insult in any way, you just have the perfect looks and positive vibes/charisma that reminds people of the character!
Every time I hear this, it makes me glad that I have an opportunity to sing this. I work with a theatre group called For Good, who does theatre with kids with mental disabilities, and we sing this song.

My beautiful friend Helen sent me the link to this cover saying you have to hear this! She taught piano and was a brilliant pianist herself also singing in a large church choir. So for her to say it’s a fantastic cover it must have been good, I loved it so much - what talented singers these two are ❤

They are both good... Sam Tsui's voice is very consistent... Nick on the other hand, I dont know.. he keeps on changing his pitch...and I dont know which direction he is going...
Nick has to switch into his falsetto to hit the same notes that Sam can hit in chest voice - but it's what makes his voice unique.
Donaven Smith You're incorrect. He's not using falsetto at all. He's using counter-tenor. His range is much wider than you think.
showdownrocks Nick uses both here, counter-tenor AND falsetto; alternating very quickly between either voice.

+Carlosaurus Rex That's wrong, you can't use (counter tenor) it's a voice type/opera part. He switch between head voice and falsetto. He his a baritone actually.
Brian Rexroad 🙄 Another “expert” who has no clue what he’s talking about. “Countertenor” (one word) is not part of the physical voice. It’s a voice type, just like tenor or baritone. Most countertenors are really baritones with the ability to access a different part of the vocal cords in a strong manner. Nick is using a head voice mix, then complete falsetto. Btw: I’m a countertenor. I think I know what I’m talking about.

This is about how Elphaba and Glinda became the wicked witch of the west and the good witch of the north. And this is their last song they sing together. Not glee haha..
+John Olsson Wicked is actually an alternative take on the characters that has little to nothing to do with Oz canon. The actual, canon, West Witch is just an old sociopath. She formed an alliance with the Wicked Witches of the East, North and South to try and overthrow King Pastoria, but their plans were interrupted by Locasta and Glinda defeating the latter two respective witches and becoming the Good Witches of the North and South respectively (yes, Glinda is the Good Witch of the SOUTH, not North). The Wicked West Witch and East Witch still worked on a plan, but then Oscar Diggs sailed into Oz and stole the throne right out from under them.
Wicked is a musical based on a book. Two girls becoming friends in college. Elphaba is becoming the wicked witch of the west, Nessa becomes the wicked witch of the east. And when Elphaba melts in the movie, she actually is alive but she can't tell Glinda that. Then Elphaba and Fyero (the scarecrow) leaves Oz. Wicked is like behind the scenes of the movie The Wizard Of Oz.

I know what Wicked is, and it has virtually nothing to do with Oz canon. It's an alternative take. The Wicked Witch of the West is the name of the character. She is NOT Elphaba, and Nessarose is NOT the Wicked Witch of the East. They are completely different characters. No, it's not "behind the scenes" of the Wizard of Oz. It's "what if we take this work in a slightly different direction".
Remember that Oz is a series of books first and foremost.
+MegaAstroFan18 thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis. It's alright to appreciate Wicked but you have to remember it's kind of like an Alternate Universe. None of this is canon. None of it.
If you really look at the timeline, the Land of Oz isn't even old enough in its existence to warrant anything like this. Admittedly, it's not entirely clear if Ozma/Tippetarius is the child of the first rulers or not... It fluctuates in the later books. But seriously... Wicked doesn't fit into proper Oz canon. But it can be appreciated either way.

One of the best teachers in my school passed away today, and all I could think of was this song. He was an amazing person who taught everyone at our school valuable lessons, but he's finally up in heaven with the wife he missed so much. This song is comforting, because I know that because I knew him, I have been changed for good.

Agreed artistic expression is more about compliance than diversity. Everyone should sing every song the same way. Please provide us the vocal range parameters for a male and a female so we can be sure not to exceed them. And while your at it please list the acceptable instruments and cadence so nobody is offended.
